The moment Claire's car arrived in their mansion Isabelle's eyes are glued to her daughter. It became part of her routine since Claire live again in their mansion. She will always wait for her precious child to come home late at night. Even if she hires a private bodyguard who always reports Claires' whereabouts she still wanted to see her daughter come home.
" Soon I will fix everything I have done my child, I don't know how but I definitely will," Isabelle speaks on her mind as she sees her daughter went out of her car.
Early in the morning, Claire is not in the mood because she is already 30 minutes late for her meeting. She doesn't know why her alarm clock didn't wake her up. She is hundred percent sure that she is not drunk because her tolerance to alcohol is high.
As she stops in front of the meeting room, Alise her secretary opens the door for her and she walks straight to her designated seat. After seating, Claire feels all the eyes are on her even the speaker who is still explaining in front. She just gives a cold shoulder to it and didn't bother to look at everyone inside the room. She just reviews the proposal and listens to the speaker.
Isabelle POV
As the clock hits exactly 9 in the morning she calls Marie her secretary using the intercom.
"Marie, have you check if Claire is already in her office?"
"The guard is still not reporting regarding Ms. Claires' arrival. I already call in the mansion and the maid said that she is still in her room. I also called Alise, according to her Ms. Clare is not answer her calls."
"Thank you for that you can go first in the meeting room I will just make a call" she made a call in their mansion and told them to wake up Claire and she went to the meeting room.
Five minutes before 9:30 the investor arrived and it shocks me to see who was it. I didn't expect to see him, I thought that someone will just represent him. As our eyes meet all I see was anger.
"Good morning everyone, the presentation can start now" I greeted the moment they seat. The light turns dim as the speaker stands in front. The investor that came here right now is no other than the Montenegro empire. I don't know why they are interested in our hotel's expansion in Asia when they can expand on their own, being the top hotel in Different countries.
After 30 minutes Marie whispers that Claire already arrived in the building and minutes passed, the door opens. I looked at my daughter the moment she seated, she didn't greet everyone nor look at them. Maybe she's not in her mood because of Montenegro's presence. I didn't have a choice she needed to be here because this project will be the key.
As the speaker said " Thank you for listening that would all " the lights turn on and the room filled with applause. The meeting takes an hour and a half. In that duration, his facial expression didn't change.
" Thank you so much for being here Mr. Montenegro. Do you have any questions regarding the plans? " As our eyes meet it gives me shivers. I know exactly why he is angry with me but I don't know why he confronts me. In my peripheral vision, I see surprise is written on my child's face.
" I don't have questions your employee is good enough to explain everything clearly. Also, I already review and study the proposal beforehand. If ever I will be having a query my secretary will ask you right away" Duke Montenegro answer me straight in my eyes.
" Glad to hear that Mr. Montenegro. I know that every minute of yours is important so I will now end this meeting for now. Meeting adjourned " Everyone started to walk out of the room. As he stands up in his sit I ask him.
" Can I have a minute with you, Mr. Montenegro? " He gave a signal to his secretary to go first and he looks at me.
" What are we going to talk about? The meeting is already adjourned. " I look straight into his eyes and said.
" You know the truth. "
" Truth? About what? Your lies 3 years ago? " He smirks after that.
" I'm not someone who can easily fall in someone's words and you know that. I also know your reason you can't hide it from me, I'm a Montenegro. "
" I know that you will know the truth eventually but I just don't know why you didn't tell it to your son. "
" It takes a week for me to know that everything that you have said is a lie and the reason why did you said that "
" I didn't tell it to King because I don't want him to get involved in your family problems. Because i know he will do everything just to help Claire. I know how dirty your brothers play." He looked at the window and continue.
" You ruined me and my family not just us but also your daughter. But it also saves my son from future problems. Whatever happens in the past will remain in the past just be sure that no one will know about your act. If the public knows your lies I will do everything to destroy what you have been protecting. Be careful playing fire with your siblings. " after that he left the room.
As he left I remember how broken my daughter was that night.

She drags me out of the room and shouts at me.
" What is that mom? is it true? and why did you just tell it to me now? Why don't you said it the moment I introduce King? Why now when I already love him so much. " she kneeled in front of me and her tears keep on falling. It gives pains in my heart seeing my daughter like this but I don't have any other choice.
" I didn't know that both of you will plan to get married. Your uncles will not know you having a relationship with Duke's child because I'm stopping every news that aired in Australia regarding your relationship. But you being married to King, that I cannot stop from your uncle's knowledge. "
" I'm with King for 1 year and 8 months mom you should have stopped us earlier. " She stands up and runs after that.
