Another day another hella day, meetings here and there. Maybe being in the Philippines in the meantime will lessen my workloads. Board meeting starts my day I can feel that this meeting will not be smooth. Having a conversation with the boards and my uncles are not that easy lot of question needed to be answered.

" Good morning everyone as you all know that our newest project is the Asia Hotel Expansion it will start in Japan and this will be lead by Claire." mom started.

"You started the project without the majority vote. Where will you get a budget for it?" uncle Jullian while smirking with my mom. He is the oldest among them next is uncle Jules and then my mom.

" Montenegro Empire will be our investor for this project." and with that, his smirk fades away.

" Montenegro Empire? Why would they invest if they can have on their own.?"

" I don't know the most important thing was they invested in the project."

" If the Montenegro Empire invested this project is adequate. We know them, they don't invest if the project is a flop." one of the stockholders replied and most of them agreed.

" Interesting how and why they will invest. But I think you know the reason Isabelle wouldn't you like to share it with us?" uncle Jules said. He is smiling but you can feel something in his eyes.

" Feels like you are the one who knows the reason like what I have said I don't know their reason but I'm sure it is only a business." mom answered and uncle laugh.

" If you say so, let see."

" Whatever their reason is I make sure that it's just the best for the company. Claire will be staying in the Philippines while the project is ongoing and she will be handling our branch there again. Do you have any other concerns? If none then agenda for this day ends here you can go now." everyone starts to go but my mom and uncles are looking at each other with that I make my way out. I think they will discuss important matters and that doesn't have anything to do with me.

" Do I still have important meetings until the end of this month?" asking Alise while going back to my office.

" None Ms. Claire your mom already clear your schedule starting this month." so she really makes sure that I will be staying in the Philippines.

" Book us a flight, Saturday this week. You are going with me, you can now go home and rest. Be with your loved ones until Friday cuz no one knows when will we can go back here."

" This will be noted, Ms. Claire. My parents are in the Philippines I'm just here with my Ate. " I look at her and act like I'm thinking.

" So you don't need a rest? Okay, you can still work until Friday." and I smile.

" Oh no no Ms. Claire I'm just saying that being in the Philippines will make me happy cuz I have time to see my parents. I will just book our flight then have my leave." and storm out of the office. It's now or never I need to face King hope everything turns good.

Back at the meeting room, the Montemayor sibling is having a personal meeting.

" Do you still have anything to say?" Isabelle asks to start.

" Does Claire already know that Duke is her father?" Jullian ask.

" Why asking? As far as I know, you don't care about me and my daughter. Both of you only care for the company." 

" Does Duke also know that he has a child on you?" Isabelle can feel that his brothers will be going to start playing.

" I already told you long ago that he doesn't need to know both of us is done and we have our own life now. What's with the sudden topic? Does Montenegro investment is that a big deal? If you just support the project then I don't need an investor. You know that the project is a win-win for the company but both of you opposed it." I'm scared not for me but for my daughter. Whatever my brothers do it can affect my daughter.

" If Duke may know that Claire is his daughter then Claire can have her share in her father's empire. Don't you want it?" Jules said while having a smirk on his face.

" Are you 100% sure that his wife wouldn't oppose? and don't you think Duke will not get mad? You know their influence making them angry can pull us down. So stop invading my personal life and just do good with your works." I need to act strong.

" You are throwing your daughter to the enemy's den. Be sure that you calculated your plans if your plans fire back don't you ever brings the company together with you." with that they leave the room. If you are going to ask me I don't know what I'm going to do next. Whatever happens, it's either Duke will destroy me or my brothers.

" Madam you have a call from the Philippines" that brings my mind back.

" Who?"

" King Montenegro Madam." and Marie handed me the phone and signaled her to go.

" Isabelle Montemayor speaking."

" Why does my Father invested in the company." that makes me laugh.

" Why all of you ask me that. I don't know maybe he sees an opportunity in the project? Why don't you ask your father."

" You already ruined our family years ago I won't let it happen again. " he still angry like my daughter. I can say that I really leave marks on their hearts.

" Don't worry I'm not the one who will handle that project. Haven't you read the contract it is Claire who will be leading the expansion. So you are asking the wrong person. Ask your father cuz he is the first one to approach our business and business is business and you know that."

" So I'm meeting my dear sibling? Seems interesting does she have plans to be a Montenegro's heir?"

" She doesn't need to because she is already a Montemayor heir. Do not stress yourself too much young man you don't know anything yet. You might regret saying hurtful words to Claire. Do you still have anything to say I'm busy to accommodate you." after that I heard a busy line. That brat kid hangs up a phone on her. Just by talking with King on the phone I know that he changes cuz his voice is too serious. Given that he is a serious businessman but back when they are still together you can feel the softness in his voice that full of respect.
