Arsen called in a voice barely above a whisper as I was about to walk out of the door.
My heart stopped. My whole body turned rigid and my eyes grew larger.
How?
He recognized me?
He shouldn't even be awake. Did I make sure of it so how?
I waited for him to say something else but when it didn't come I turned around slowly, heart pounding in my chest. I walked over to the sofa to check on him.
He was still in the same position I had left him in. His eyes were closed and his lips were slightly parted. I crouched down to his level and waved a hand in his face. He didn't move, he was still asleep.
I let out a breath of relief.
Then why did he call my name?
Maybe he was dreaming about me.
I scoffed at that thought.
