“Hmm oh there’s more how annoying“ throst casually says without a hint of fear in his voice. I was dumbfounded by his actions. What kind of rescue is this? He saves my life and then lectures me for running away. But deep down I still feel happy around him, I kinda like him that way. I still don’t know what it is about him but he just makes me so happy. The zombies swam throst each one trying get a bite in, but throst skilfully swings his sword around like it’s made from wood. Slaying zombies like mice at a cat party, until the priest zombie bites him on his left arm and throst stops dead in his tracks. I scream before I could even understand what happened. Throst wraps his hand around the priest skull and tears the priest from his arm and waves him around like paper, he thrust his blade through its skull and toss him aside like he was nothing.
“But how can you kill them so easy and without morality” I ask, Throst looks at me and walk towards stepping over the what use to be the priest and zombies. “Well their extremely weak I’ve had more trouble with a wolf than these poor excuse of a zombie. And there already dead killing them again make no difference to me.” Throst says calmly. “But but how” I stutter “just don’t question it.. it doesn’t matter right now. What matters is getting out of this hell hole” he responds. “Get out? You can’t wild beast prevent anyone from getting past them. It the reason why no could get help from the nearby town.” I sadly respond. “Nearby town? Do you not know we’re you are?” Throst asks. “In the gilded region?” I say. “What no, were in a small snow globe located in a wizard house that decided to have a town all to himself” he sharply responds I was shocked by this news how can I have not noticed this, is he lying? I don’t know. He wasn’t lying about zombies but I just met him how can I trust him? But he did save my life I decided to simply to tell that I don’t know. He then walked out of the church and ask about what happened 13 years ago.
“Well I don’t really know. I was only five at the time, I do remember a explosion of deadly gas from that hill” I say pointing past the old tavern to a large hill. “A hill?” Throst looks at me a bit confused, “well let’s explore that hill then” Throst bravely states.”what! We can’t go there it’s dangerous it makes those zombies look like kitten chow.” I state “Well more the reason to go, could be the best possible chance of escaping. “ he say while dashing straight to the hill unfazed by the danger. “Wait!” I shout chasing after him. But his speed is incredible I can’t even keep up huffing and puffing I run as fast I can running so fast my chest hurts from the lack of oxygen. But none the less I manage to catch up to him standing on the hill facing towards the sunset. “Huff...puff why are you just standing there?” I ask breathing heavily. Throst grabs the top of my head and faces it to towards a strange pillar located in a crater on the hill. “Don’t you find it strange? A explosion then endless winter. And I assume a deadly beast protecting this pillar. This must be how the wizard get in and out. Speaking of beasts where is it?” His words didn’t finish leavening his mouth before a huge tentacle came out of nowhere and smacked square in the jaw sending him flying.
Roughly about 30 metres the distance was incredible. Then the huge creature rises out of the snow with its tentacles flailing about. Eyes glaring at me with intense blood lust, the creature was so terrifying it sent chills down my spine. Every move it makes not a second is wasted, at that moment a huge tentacle rages toward me at incredible speed to fast for me to respond. I instinctively close my eyes expecting pain but there was no pain only a loud crashing noise I didn’t move an inch for being smacked by a large tentacle. But I also didn’t feel any contact from it how curious. I finally open my eye only to find tentacle stopped dead in tracks inch’s from me. And throst standing high holding the tentacle at bay he had scratches all over his body. But regardless of his injurys what shocked me the most. Was that, his left arm was completely gone shattered to pieces but no blood. He was holding back a huge tentacle three times the size of him with one arm. Satreing at me throst speaks “Next time when something attacks , move” he then vomits up blood all over the ground. Rushed to him trying to help but at that moment the creature was furious it lash’s out all of its tentacles at once all aimed at him. In his condition there was no way he dodge little did I know he never planned to.
All the tentacles hit there mark shattering him to pieces. Crying I Scream his name “Christopher!” I shout. Shattering through throst body the force behind the tentacles charge towards me. There’s no possible way I can survive the attack. But before they can make contact I slip and fall, flat on my back and the tentacles Move above me inch’s from my face. While being on the ground I take a glance at the floor to see what I slipped on. It was a floor of ice spread above the snow. The ice was pure no dirt or even snow was mixed into it. I didn’t think much of it the time my head was clouded by anger and despair all I wanted to do was kill this creature and avenge him I still don’t understand why but I feel that I must avenge him. When the tentacles subtract and return to there master, I quickly get up And pull my knife out from The side of my boot and charge towards the creature. Blade in hand I stab it into its main body, but it’s hide was so dense it just sprung back. Knocking me Off my feet falling back I felt something catch me. “Hey moron. Next time wait for me.” A mysterious voice comes out of nowhere. That voice. I know it, looking back I see throst still covered in scratch’s and bruises. Tears in my eyes I look at him and asks “but how are you, how are you still alive I sore you die.” I ask in disbelief. “That was merely my copie I was never really harmed well not after that swing” throst said smiling down at me. The creature was pissed it throw everything it had at us. But throst merely looked at it and without warning the creature started to freeze and in a blink of an eye it was frozen solid through and through. I was so relieved that he was still alive and the creature dead so much in fact that I fainted.
