Diamond blue

A unexpected surprise

The blade steers toward Throst. With one quick motion the blade shatters into several pieces and the boy stumbles back dropping his money into the fountain. A few storming foot steps echo through the city as three guards emerge from the crowd pointing their weapons at the boy. Throst continues on his merry way with me not far behind him. We get ever closer to the castle but I’m still unsure why Throst needs to go to the castle. We reach the palace gates and we met two guards guarding the gate. Throst speaks to the guards but I didn’t  hear exactly what he said but soon after the palace gate open slowly revealing the majestic garden on the other side. We walked in like we owned the place all the way up the stairs and into a massive room. In this room had six golden pillars and a massive golden throne with a young Looking lady sitting on it wearing a golden crown encrusted with ruby red jewels.

“Ah Throst I been expecting you” she says. “Sorry I’m late “Throst responds. “It’s fine. As long as you are here. I need you To kill a woman by the name of the spider queen she’s been k********g people from the town just outside the cities protection and with all the attacks on the city guards are a bit short handed. Of course you will be paid of course.” Explains the queen. Throst accepts the queen’s proposal and a servant comes out with a map and some other equipment I’ve never seen before. He hands it to Throst and we leave as fast as we got there. Confused I quietly follow him. “Alica it’s about a day journey from here to the town do you need anything before we leave”he asks “a shower? And sleep would be nice” I respond Throst looks up to the sky and only then realise that the day has passed exposing the endless void called space. “Ah crap lost track of time. Well I guess we can stay for the night” Throst respond. We go to something called a hotel when I asked what it is Throst explained it like a tavern but less criminals. But this time I get my own room which makes me sad even though last time it was a smelly run down room it was nice to sleep in the same room as him. This time the room was a lot cleaner than the last it even came with it own bathroom although there is a big bed in the middling of the room I’m not used to this type of treatment. I pull my boots off and put them next to the door then I take off my hat, backpack and my cloak although there was no place to put them so looked around for a bit until I see a hat stand which was hidden in the bathroom don’t know why but that’s where they put it I guess. Well while I’m in the bathroom I thought that I would take a shower I pull my pjs out from my bag And the hotel already had towels so I went decided take a shower.

after the shower I go back into the room and sink into the bed I ponder about how fast and crazy its been. At the beginning I’m minding my own business. At that time I was highly depressed and had no meaning. Then Throst showed up got me out showed me the town then I was killed Throst hunted the guy down killed him saved me. Then he also started died and I had to steal a carriage get him to a city and to a doctor. Then to be useful for once I spent two years learning medic science so that Throst will never be on the brink of death again. And now we’re going to a spider lady’s place to kill her. I’m so confused things have been moving way to fast I wish it would slow down a bit. Spend a bit of time with Throst all alone no combat just me and him would be so nice but I’m sure if that would ever happen. I switch off the lamp and pull the covers over my body and drift of to sleep. As I slept I dreamed of Throst and me watching the sun set over a flower field with my favourite flowers in our hands. It was so nice then unfortunately I wake up to a loud crash and to my surprise the entire room is run down like an ancient poorly maintained tavern. The paint on the wall is peeling the window shattered and the door ripped of it hinges onto the floor. The only thing that still resemble the room before was the bed I’m sitting on. I slowly push the covers off and place my feet onto the cold floor.

A chilling wind passes through the broken window. confused I search the room only to find that nothing left even my weapons and clothes are missing except the Pjs I’m wearing of course. I stroll to the door and pull the handle down and pull, the hinge screech’s as I pull the door open revealing a stair case down. Now I’m positive that I didn’t see a Stair case outside of my door. hesitant I move down the stairs slowly my feet step onto the slimy stone stair, disgusted I continue down the stair with each step I take my feet take a quick rinse in lawful slime. the door shuts behind me and shrouds me in darkness blinded and locked out of the room behind me I continue the stair case. I whisper to my self “I wish I could see” and with out warning my eyes shift and suddenly the dark disappears showing the entire stair. Shocked by this i step back bang my foot against the stair behind and slip on the slime. I tumble down the stairs onto the cold floor at the bottom gasping in pain I get up soaked in slime. Pain intensifies in my right arm I grab my arm in pain and notice that something is wrong with it. I glance over at it and see a sharp bone sticking out of my wrist. In pain I slowly get up an with little choice I continue down the hall. Eventually the hallway opens up into a large room filled up with weird items such as a large oversized burnt teddy bear, two non human skulls and a large portrait of a room that seems familiar. But before I could question it something moves in the corner directing my attention to the creature is hidden behind a large book shelf I approach it slowly and carefully. I step quietly towards it with the slime dripping from my feet and clothes onto the floor. The creature scurries from the bookshelf to the giant bear toppling the bookshelf over. In pain I jump backward to avoid it but I accidentally Hit my right arm, I scream in pain.
