RHYS I watched as her body stiffened, pupils dilating as her mouth hung open in shock. Beneath the shock– I could still see a glint of doubt in her eyes. Was she doubting my confession? My heart arched. "She kissed you? But you didn't push her off and here you are telling me you love me. If you really love me, you wouldn't have let her kiss you. Do you know how much that hurts....do you?" She muttered, her limbs shook, a doubtful scowl on her face. "I did Clara...I pushed her off the moment I recovered from my shock." I explained with all sincerity I could muster. I bent slightly, starring deep into her eyes as my hands found hers in a gentle squeeze. Her lips formed into a thin line, the doubt in her eyes were gone replaced with something lighter–hope and– I paused. Excitement?
