Possession Alpha

“You stay behind me.” Damien’s voice was calm, but the warning inside it was impossible to miss. My heartbeat immediately sped up. Somewhere downstairs, Logan was waiting. Angry. Humiliated. Dangerous. And honestly? That combination terrified me. Damien moved toward the door while I followed behind him nervously. Ethan looked far too entertained by the situation for someone who might witness a war between two Alphas. “You know,” Ethan said casually, “this is probably the worst love triangle in pack history.” “This isn’t a love triangle,” I muttered. Ethan raised an eyebrow. “Sure.” Damien ignored him completely. The moment we stepped downstairs, the atmosphere changed instantly. Logan stood near the center of the living room wearing all black, his expression cold enough to freeze the air itself. The second his eyes landed on me behind Damien, his jaw tightened. There was something dangerous in his gaze. Something possessive. Something angry. And somehow… That hurt more than I expected. “You came,” Logan said quietly. Damien stepped slightly in front of me before answering first. “She didn’t invite you.” Logan’s eyes darkened immediately. “I wasn’t speaking to you.” “And yet,” Damien replied calmly, “you’re standing in my house.” The tension became suffocating. I swallowed nervously while looking between both men. This was bad. Very bad. Logan finally looked directly at me again. “We need to talk. Alone.” Every instinct inside me screamed to refuse. But another part of me—the weaker part—still wanted answers. Still wanted closure. Still wanted to understand why the man who once promised me forever suddenly destroyed everything. Damien noticed my hesitation immediately. His voice lowered slightly. “You don’t owe him anything.” Logan laughed bitterly. “Of course you’d say that.” Damien’s expression remained unreadable. “Careful.” The warning in his voice sent chills down my spine. For a second, nobody spoke. Then Logan finally looked back at me. “You disappeared.” I stared at him in disbelief. “Seriously?” “You left after causing a scene.” A sharp laugh escaped me. “Causing a scene?” My voice rose instantly. “I caught you cheating on me!” “You embarrassed me publicly.” That sentence hit harder than expected. Not because it hurt. But because it revealed exactly what mattered to him. Not my feelings. Not our relationship. His pride. I looked at him differently after that, and I think he noticed because for the first time since arriving, uncertainty flashed across Logan’s face. “You knew she was pregnant?” The room froze instantly. My blood turned cold. Slowly, I turned toward Ethan. Ethan looked horrified. “Okay, wow. I definitely didn’t know that.” Then I realized. I hadn’t said it. Logan had. My stomach twisted violently as I stared at him. “How do you know that?” Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. Then Logan realized his mistake. Too late. Damien’s entire expression darkened instantly. The temperature in the room practically dropped. “You’re pregnant?” His voice sounded dangerously calm, which honestly felt scarier than yelling. I couldn’t speak because suddenly everything was collapsing too fast. Logan ran a frustrated hand through his hair before looking at me again. “You weren’t supposed to find out like this.” Find out? Find out? Rage exploded inside me so suddenly that even I got shocked. “You knew?” My voice cracked painfully. “You knew I was pregnant and still cheated on me?” “Listen to me—” “No!” Tears burned my eyes immediately. “You stood there and rejected me while knowing I was carrying your child?” Silence. Heavy. Brutal silence. Damien slowly turned toward Logan, and honestly, I had never seen someone look that dangerous before. “You should leave,” Damien said quietly. Logan scoffed bitterly. “This doesn’t concern you.” Damien took one step forward. And suddenly the entire room felt lethal. “She’s standing in my house crying,” he said softly. “It concerns me now.” Logan’s wolf pushed dangerously close to the surface. I could feel it. The aggression. The territorial anger. But Damien didn’t back down. Not even slightly. For one terrifying second, I genuinely thought they were about to attack each other. Then Damien spoke again. “She deserves better than this.” Something inside me cracked at those words. Because after everything Logan had done… Nobody had defended me. Nobody except Damien. Logan looked furious now. But underneath the anger… I saw something worse. Regret. And somehow, that scared me more. Because it was already too late.
