Police baffled as Elusive Desert-Roaming Killer Shoots Cop’s Wife
Adalhard Jaeger re-read the headline blazoned across the front page of the NT News, the Northern Territory’s major daily newspaper. He smiled to himself, folded the newspaper, and placed it on the passenger seat of his vehicle. They were calling him a “demon”. He’d learned long ago— thanks to his devoted mother—that the ancient Germanic interpretation of his name was Brave Hunter, but Adalhard had never been one to put a lot of significance in such things.
