FALLING FOR HIS CHARM

Chapter four

Asher.

"I honestly have no idea what happened. When i left, the only things i carried with me were my personal belongings that's it."Anna said taking a long deep breath. She stood in front of me her hands in her waist." I really don't know what to tell you Asher, but i need to go."she said picking up her car keys from the desk." I no longer work here remember? So it's really none of my business."

" You have to help me Anna, you had been working on that project for months. You are the only one familiar with it and can have it redone under such Short notice. Please don't go!" i said softly trying to reason with her.

" I am sorry Asher, but i can't help you."

"You can't, or you won't Anna?" i asked trying to remain calm.

"Both." she said quietly avoiding my eye contact as she stepped around me to head towards the door. But i couldn't just let her walk away from me that easily.

She immediately froze when my hands clamped around her arms and dragged her back to stand right in front of me her back against my hard body. Her hair smelt like lavender it took all the strength in me not to actually sniff it. My d**k out of impulse got hard with her soft a*s pressed into my body like that. Immediately she felt my hard on she pushed herself out of my hold trying to get away and gave our bodies some space. My hand was still in her waist.

"I cant let you walk out of here Anna." i whispered softly into her ear. "According to company policies, if an employee quits and anything physical goes missing then i have to report it to the authorities."

"Whaaat?!" she gasped pulling out of my grasp in one quick movement and spun around to face me. She looked furious mixed with hurt but mostly furious. Her breathing rate was high too.

"Are you saying I stole those files Asher?" she asked her eyes full of disbelief and hurt.

"Devils advocate," i say holding my hands up and walking back to the huge window behind us, "Anna you were pretty pissed off when i was named CEO and not you. I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to sabotage this new contract, you gave your blood and sweat odor over four years and a newly graduate just Swifts in and takes over, trust me i understand." i say with a smirk.

Anna drew back like she had been struck her mouth wide open like she couldn't believe she just heard me say that. She opened her mouth to say something but didn't say anything for a while before she finally said.

" I didn't take those files nor did i do anything to them. When i left they were all there." she said pointing to the computer hysterically.

As much as i wanted to comfort her i couldn't i needed to do this. So my eyes remained cold completely fixated on her, i knew she could tell from how i was looking at her, there was no way I was buying that story."

"I truly want to believe you Anna, but there are no files there and no one has been here since you left. Files don't just disappear out of thin air. I honestly don't want to get you in trouble or arrested but i have no choice Anna, i have to do what's best for the company. You would do the same of you were in my shoes."

She immediately stiffened at the mention of being arrested, i could feel her aura change and she was scared.

" Arrested? I have worked my a*s off for this company for over four years and now am being accused of theft! Wow, what a way to go." she said furious tears streaming down her face. "But i didn't do anything Asher, you have to believe me. I would never do that. I swear."

" Anna I don't want to see you being arrested either. It won't do me any good. But you know how this things work for God's sake you were going to run the company, you know how important this account is. All i want is to be ready for that meeting that is in two weeks. That deal means the world to my grandfather and it's my one chance to prove to him that am not a little boy anymore, so i can't really tank that. Without the files i don't see any other way to do this, do you? " i asked her calculatively walking back towards her. She looked up at me completely defeated," I could keep quiet about this Anna but only if you help me with this account. You already worked on it and know everything about it so work with me and help me get ready for that meeting and then you can be on your way and no one will ever find out about this."

She released a sign of relief." I really didn't take those files, but given the position you are in i can help you with the account."she murmured reluctantly. " Besides i have no desire in being under investigation, that would ruin my reputation, I will never get a good job ever again and it's not like they would belive that i really didn't steal the account." she said deep in thought, "I will do it Asher, i will."

" Good, and i will gladly not mention a word to anyone about the missing files." i say smiling.

" Not so fast Asher, you should know it took me three months to prepare for that account so we are going to need all the extra hours we can get including night and weekends if you wamt it to be ready in two weeks."

" That won't be a problem Miss Torres, for the next two weeks am all yours." i say with a huge smirk on my face.

She looked at me a little horrified her eyes wide open as if trying to figure out the deeper meaning of my words. Anna Torres was a smart woman, she is one of the few women i have met who actually know what they are doing. Normally the women i deal with are just a pretty face and perfect body. But not her, she had the body, the face the brains and the attitude to match with it. But when it came to flirting, she always played dumb. I knew the exact minute she threw my comment to the side ignoring it. I knew she understood what i said and knew the meaning behind it but she pretended as if she didn't. But i was determined to get her to react even if it wasn't today.

"okay Anna, we need to start working on this now." i said moving towards the door to her old office. "I will grab an extra chair for you, do you need anything else before we start?" i asked her holding the door with one hand.

"Oh! No Asher am not working here on a Saturday, or did you just forget that i don't work here anymore? Am going home to have a relaxing long hot bath now that i have all the time in the world to do nothing." she said walking towards my desk.

She grabbed a notebook and a pen and scribbled something down on it before handing it to me.

"Here is my address," she said handing me the piece of paper, "Bring all the files and your laptop we will work on it from there." she said brushing up past me as she walked towards the door. "And oh! I almost forgot, bring a bottle of wine and some Indian food with you, it's going to be a long night ahead." she said winking and without saying anything else she flung the door open and left slamming it behind on her way out.

I remained in that posture staring into the empty hallway as my lips quirked into a grin, impressed by her ability to be so arrogant and yet sexy at the same time. This was actually playing out better than i had imagined, I was going to Anna's house and we were going to be alone, all night and even better for the next two weeks, this was too damn easy. It was perfect.
