Failed Escape {Irvine}

1062 Words
“So, Irvine, how do you suggest I punish you for your treacherous crime?” He appeared in front of me before I could breathe. I gulped down my fear and managed to look up at him. His eyes stir something in that I can't just place my hands on. “You aimed to kill me, Irvine. Can I ask why?” “I have no idea. You looked like someone I knew. I didn't know you were the Alpha King, even if I tried I wouldn't have succeeded.” He smiled, it made my heart flutter for a second. “Are you telling me, you attack people for fun? Something you do on a daily basis to keep yourself on the edge?” he asked with an inkling of smile in his eyes. It was hard to stop myself from smiling. “Well, a girl's gotta do something to keep the adrenaline rushing,” I joked. “Is that so?” he leaned closer and goes down to my nape. The airs on my neck stood when he took a sniff of my scent. “You smell wonderful, I bet you taste just as great,” he murmured against my skin before he landed a ghost of a kiss on the flesh there. It became insanely hot where he kissed and he didn't stop. He continued to lay kisses all over my neck to my jawline. “You've got a smart mouth but it won't save you from getting punished” At the mention of punishment, the spell he had on me broke instantly and my eyes widened. I immediately went on my knees and bowed my head. “Please have mercy on this unfortunate soul, My king. It was a foolish mistake that should not have happened. I would do anything to erase my sin,” my lips kept blabbing on and my brain did nothing to stop me. I regretted everything that left my lips immediately it dropped. His smile widened, mischief glinted in his eyes and I knew right there that I was in danger. “Did you just say anything? Be careful what you say darling, I might just be the devil,” he grinned evil, his fangs flashed danger. His eyes traveled down my collarbone. “I'm thirsty,” his voice suddenly turned hoarse and his eyes glazed I trembled. “I will go get you something to drink,” I moved to open the door but he slammed it shut and brought me back to rest against the door. “Do not bother yourself, I'm looking at a glass of blood wine right now.” He picked a strand of thread from my hair and blew on it. “You would give me your blood, Irvine,” his eyes glowed and something in me forced me to push myself into him. What am I doing? He smiled evilly, the bastard! He compelled me! Tears welled up in my eyes. This is not what I wanted. My ex mate did not want me, my new mate hates me, why is everything going the opposite way for me. I crane my neck to him, tears ran down my cheek while I awaited to feel the piercing pain of his fangs into my flesh. I shut my eyes closed, seconds passed and nothing happened. I peer my eyes open and found him looking at me with weird eyes. Like he's hurt and wounded, what did I do? “Alpha Kaiden?” He took a strand of my hair like he was in a trance and curled it around his finger. “Call me Kaiden,” My heart skipped. His voice alone commands power. “Kaiden,” I whispered, then frowned. “Stop compelling me,” He shrugged, “I didn't compel you darling, you whispered my name all on your own.” He released my hair and tucked his hand into his pocket. “Go get your things, we leave for my castle immediately,” What? I masked my expression as I plot my way out. I would pack my essentials and the money I have saved up. I had planned to use that money to get Bryan something special when we make it official but I guess I won't be getting him anything again, his loss. So I pack my stuff and take a run for it. Not everyone knows who I am, I'd wear a face cap and leave before he notices. “Irvine darling, anytime from now would be fine,” I snapped out of my thoughts to stare at him. He is shirtless. Why is he shirtless, he has his back turned to me and I can see the Phoenix tattoo drawn over his broad shoulders. He sent me a look from behind and frowned. “oh yes, gimme a min,” I rushed out before he noticed how red my cheeks turned. My back rested against the door as I tried to gather myself. Just grab your things and get the f**k out. I'd get a taxi to the river port. With that in mind, I went to my room. Fortunately for me, there are few to no one at the hallway when I passed by. Evey other person should be at the training ground so no one saw me when I entered my room. My room is the smallest on the block but it's enough for me. I grab my duffel bag and packed my essentials into it. I don't have much so it didn't take long to pack. I took the dagger Bryan gave me, it would come in handy. I looked out from my window to check the gate. Mary was about to get into Bryan's car. I definitely knew she was going shopping. The best thing was to follow her car out so no one will notice me. I rushed down the stairs, I must be quick or I won't meet up. My freedom was near, I could just taste it. “And where do you think you're going?” my entire body froze at the voice that spoke behind me. I didn't turn, my foot hanged above the last step of the stairs. Disappointment washed over me in an instant. f**k! “Irvine,” he called out sweetly but only a fool would believe him to be sweet.
