CHAPTER 7: BACK TO SCHOOL!

1192 Words
The next day Lisa gets up and gets ready for school. Thankfully she took the pain meds last night because there was almost no pain. She spent the morning avoiding her father like the plague, finished her breakfast and left the house with Levi. On the ride to school Levi and Lisa spoke and began to get to know each other. Levi pulled up to the college student parking area; switch the car of and helped Lisa out of the car. Levi was not embarrassed to walk Lisa to her classes and went to his own classes. At lunch time Lisa made she way to the breakroom and bumped into someone, the person’s elbow hit her just below the broken ribs. She groaned in pain and almost fell over, when a pair of strong hands caught her, slowly pushing her back to an up right position. “Are you alright?” someone asked making Lisa turn around only to see Levi, Jason and Candy standing behind her, Jason had his hand on her shoulder. Lisa moved back to allow Jason and Levi to handle the situation. “Jay its alright it was an accident; he just didn’t see me.” Lisa put her hand on Jason back because she couldn’t lift her hand any higher. “Does he know that you are helping her, Jason.” “Pete?...” Lisa finally gets the chance to look at the person who bumped into her. Jason was not the only friend that turned there back on Lisa, but unlike Jason, Pete never attacked her in any way, he just stopped talking to her. “Who do you mean?” “Candy, Lisa and Peter come with me… we need to sort this out.” Jason then looks to Levi, “you need to stay here, this is between the three of us.” Before leaving Jason said, “You should not tell her father any of this, I am dead serious about that, he is not a good man.” and they left, walking to the roof of the school. Normally the roof is the only place the students don’t go during break, so that was the only place they could talk without anyone finding out. Before starting the conversation Jason looks to Candy, taking her hands in his, he says “I didn’t want to say this by Levi, but as I said to him, this is between the three of us. I know you want to protect Lisa but are you sure you want to stay here. If we can’t get through to him, he will tell her father that we are hanging out with her again.” “I am not leave Lisa or you, she needs to know that she has someone.” “Ok, thank you Can-dia Mary Lee (that is Candy’s full name), you always give me more reasons to love you.” Jason turns to Lisa and Peter only to see both grinning from ear to ear. Candy blushes while walking next to Lisa, she put her arm around her, only to hear Lisa hiss causing her to quickly remove her arm while both the guys turned to look at Lisa. ‘Damn it!’ Lisa thought, ‘the pain is starting again.’ “What’s wrong, Lisa?” Jason and peter asked at the same time. “Wait!” Jason looks at Peter. “What did her father tell you?” “Why would I tell you, you said that you Loved Sasha, but you are here supporting her murderer.” “I see, so its won’t be too hard to figure out what you think about Lisa.” “You know that being close to Sasha was the only reason we where around her. Everything about her was beautiful,” Pete pointed and Lisa whose head was down, “and her selfishness is the reason Sasha is dead.” Peter walked over to Lisa at such a fast pace that she looked up at him her face as white as a sheet. “You want to sing; huh, how could you be so selfish. What is wrong with you.” Peter crabs the top of Lisa’s shirt, she closes her eyes purely because of the pain caused by the force of pull. “SING… WHY DON’T YOU SING NOW… ha.” He jerked her back making her fall back. Lisa’s hand goes straight to her side as she groaned in pain. It took that for her to realise that she wouldn’t be able to get any of her friends back, so she did the only thing she knew to do… push them away. “Please don’t tell my father that Jason and Candy spoke to me!” she told Pete. “I don’t think any of you guys should talk to me, for your safety. It’s funny I thought I could finally get my friends back, but I will always be alone.” She turns to Pete, “Peter, I will not talk to you again, the same goes for Jason and Candy, I just ask that you keep this from my father. I promise… I will not even look your way.” “I don’t think that will do…” Peter pulls his phone out of his pocket and dial’s a number, “Hello, Brady… I called to inform you that I caught Lisa trying to make new friends… yes, I will make sure.” When he hung up the phone, he looked to her only to have his smirk become a look of worry. Lisa had a look of terror on her now pale, face. Her hands were shaking, and she tried to smile but she just couldn’t get past the fear and anxiety that waved through her. “I love you guys, really… I do love all of you.” “Don’t do that, don’t say it like its goodbye. Lisa, I will not let you go through this alone.” Jason said. “You must… I can deal with this… I promise… I wo…n’t die.” Lisa gets the wind knocked out of her by a wave of pain to her gut. Cough!!! Cough!! Cough! When Lisa pulled her hand from her mouth, her eyes widened as she looked at blood. That was all it took for Lisa to allow the tear to fall from her eyes. For the first time in two years, she cried. With her hands shaking even worst, she mumbled to herself, “I need to get out of here…. Bye.” She said turning to run down the stairs to find a bathroom. However, she didn’t notice Jason walking up behind her, he pulled her before she could reach the door to exit the roof top, he looked down at the blood on her hands. “LISA!” “AAAAAAH!” Lisa screamed when Jason picked her up, he gently put her down on the sitting stone, when she pulled her shirt up to allow him to see the bruise on her side. Lisa put her finger to her mouth to silently tell him not to say anything.
