"THE F**K IS GOING ON HERE!" Lisa couldn't understand why he was so angry. She didn't want to stick around to find out, but Levi would not move... It was as if he was picking a fight Jason.
"HOW DARE YOU KISS HER!", he shouted in Levi's face.
"Why do you care?", she was genuinely curious.
"LISTEN, YOU S**T SHUT THE F**K UP " and with fear she did exactly what he said. She looked to Levi hoping that, at that time, he could read her mind. When she looked up at him he was looking straight at Candy, he was looking at Candy. Realizing he wouldn't do anything she pulled on his shirt.
Even though Jason mentioned it she still didn't realize that Levi just kissed her.
"How about we all have dinner together?" Levi asked.
"I don......", Lisa was the first one to respond, but was cut off by Jason.
"Yea, sure!", he had this evil looking smirk on his face.
"Yes, why not"
Lisa sighed, cause of course her opinion didn't matter.
They went to a table and Levi sat next to Candy leaving her to sit next to the boy who has hated her since high school.... for a reason she still didn't know, but to say she was scared would be an understatement.
"Lisa, do you still sing?", Jason asked. Her eyes widened, s**t, she forgot that Jason has heard her sing before. He used to come to the house all the time when Sasha was alive... Sasha.
"No" it the almost a whisper, had there been anymore nosie in the restaurant none of them would have heard her.
"What, Lisa... you can sing as well ."
"Hahaha", she laughed nervously, " I was not as good as my sister, but I used to sing."
"Used too...", for the first time Candy spoke.
"I can't sing anymore.", Lisa smiled sadly.
"She suddenly stopped singing when her sister died." Jason looked at her, "But that's when it all started!"
"Enough, can we please stop talking about this, leave it alone."
"But...", this time Jason was cut short, by Lisa.
"It is none of your concern. You decided to believe what he said and tortured me just as much for a whole year." she glared straight into his eyes telling him to shut up.
After the awkwardness was gone the dinner was actually nice, then Levi and Candy started laughing at jokes she couldn't hear, drifting in to her own world. She shot up when she felt a hand on her inner thigh, at first not realizing what's happening. She stood up slapping Jason in the face, when she felt his fingers touching places it shouldn't, thankful she decided to wear jeans. Looking up to see everyone staring at her wide eyed, she ran out of the restaurant. Stopping outside to take a breath, she hears the door open, turning around only to see Jason.
She wiped teared from her eyes, leaning against the glass. There was silences for 5 minutes, before Jason started to speak.
"I'm sorry, Li... please... I was.... I was stupid." Jason pleaded.
"What exactly are to sorry for Jason, for what you just did or everything else."
"I'm sorry for everything." he looked at her, "Has he stopped Li."
he completed, taking her shoulders in his hands.
When she looked down he understood, "That bustard!"
"You don't have to defend me now, I gave up waiting for someone to rescue me 2 years ago", he knew she referred to the time her best friend started torturing her just as her father did, even though he stopped when they got to college, now he just ignored her.
"Li, he made me do it", he looked down.
"What do you mean?"
"He said he would kill you."
"W-what?"
"He said that you should pay for what you did, I hated myself for everything I did, I was in love with Sasha, but I knew it wasn't your fault. She was going to die. I don't know why he blames you."
"I went to the music show, the day of the transplant. I had to... but I also wanted to sing. I met Levi there... we sang together, I fell for him."
"Wait, but how come he didn't know you could sing?", Jason asked confused. Lisa was crying now... she couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
"I used Sasha's name, sort of like a last tribute, so he thinks the girl that sang with him is dead."
"Why not just tell him the truth?"
"I can't sing anymore Jason, I can't sing." She looked straight at him.
Realization finally came to Jason as he swept through their conversation.
"What did you mean, by you had to, Li?"
"A few weeks before the transplant, the doctor asked me to do a all blood test, the test results showed that I had cancer." a sad smile on her face, she looked up to see tears in his eyes. "It was still in the early stages, it could be cured. I didn't want my family to know, because I didn't want anyone to worry. That meant that I could only use medication and rest. I hide the medical records from my parents but the pain, well the abuse made it easy to hide that, funny right." she sarcastically laughed before she continued. "I doctor told me I'm in remission last year, but the abuse didn't stop." she looked down at their shoe, noticing that Jason was now walking toward her.
"I can't believe you had to go through all that on your own, and I even added to your pain. What I don't understand is why the doctor allowed you to keep something so big a secret." he looked her in the eyes.
"I was 16, I was fully able to make my own decisions and the doctor would be bound by law to not say anything." Jason put his hands back on her shoulders, this time pulling her into a hug. Lisa, breaking down in his arms, she didn't know weather it was because she finally had someone to comfort her or because she had her friend back, but the tears wouldn't stop.
Suddenly, the door opened, shocking them away from the warm embrace.
