There was a scene with young Dex before encountering the future Prism Master. In Grayson’s journey through the mirror, there was a scene between a youthful version of herself and some sassy Crimson Cap Brownies. It was fun. It was silly. It just extended the scene in the mirror too long and lost all momentum for the book.
But the Crimson Cap Brownies are cute as Hell.
