“ANY IDEA WHERE THEY’RE getting them from?” Helen asks.
I’m still trying to process the stunning news I just received.
Sonya was involved with Charlie and Rose Lumpkin in prostitution and human trafficking.
The trafficking included young girls.
Charlies and Rose were looking to bring in even younger girls for their clients.
Somehow, this got Sonya killed.
Gladys is saying something to Helen, part of which I hear through the fog of my own thoughts. “It’s probably here,” Gladys says, “But I’ve only cracked the encryption on these two files. It’s going to take time. I’m doing what I can, but I don’t have the computing power I’d have back home.”
“Okay,” Helen says crisply. “We’ll just have to go with what we have.”
