LOVETH’S POV My knees felt like jelly, ready to buckle beneath me if I so much as shifted my weight. “What the hell, Mathilda?” Alex’s voice sliced through the room, sharp and livid. I had never seen him this furious. Someone else shouted, their words swallowed by the whirlwind of chaos in my mind. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” Mathilda sobbed, her voice trembling with regret. I clutched at the fabric of my dress, my fingers twisting the material as I struggled to ground myself. This can’t be real. “You have no idea what you’ve done!” Sandrino roared, his anger vibrating through the air like thunder. “For years, I’ve lived with the guilt of those goddamn body parts.
