CHAPTER 49 Thursday morning I was back at my desk, safely ensconced in my office. It had been a rocky few days but I had come out on the other side and, hopefully, the worst was over. Alas, fate had dictated I would not be changing careers, that I was stuck with family law, presumably forever, so I decided to return calls from potential clients. Unfortunately, most of them were women with paternity claims against famous actors, athletes, and rock stars.
