"Did you get all that?"
I was huddling with Nick and Jayashree once again to recap and remove the wire from my lapel. Talk about your déjà vu, but this time I wasn't terrified, I was fired up.
Jayashree laughed. "Yes, we heard everything loud and clear, Jamie. Obstructing a murder investigation is a serious offense and that's just off the top of my head. Mr. Matteo is facing legal trouble on a number of fronts. Excellent job!"
Nick added "We're working on the charges for the shooting as well. Between the video and the bullet it should be a slam dunk."
Relief and happiness washed over me. "Thanks for everything, both of you. Nick, I'm really glad you're staying on at the State Attorney's office. Any news about Irina and the sketches?"
