From the look on Ryan's face, I can tell he's about to fly into a fit of rage.
His face is twisted into a dark scowl, and he's glaring at me.
"Nothing." I say quickly, walking towards him. "We were just talking."
But I know he doesn't believe a s**t of what I just said. His eyes aren't on me anymore. They're now on Nick.
