LUCY's POV
"WHERE to next?" I asked him the moment we finished riding the roller coaster.
Natsu was taken aback in my question as he continues looking directly to my eyes like he was trying to read my own thoughts "Aren't you hungry, Wifey?"
I tried to assess myself first before I answered his question. In unexplained reasons, I suddenly felt hungry. I looked innocently on his face before I nodded "Good because I'm also famished"
He gently held my hand before we started walking to find a restaurant in the area "What do you want to eat?"
"Hmm?" I pause as I survey the whole area "I think I want something... like pasta... umm white spaghetti and a pizza"
We went to the nearest establishment and immediately went to on the second floor. I also let him order our food while I looked at our pictures he had taken on his cellphone.
I frown when I immediately saw his wallpaper. As I stare on my picture - the memory I tried so hard to forget has been resurfaced.
HIS mouth parted as he looked on my face - I sigh and without any warning, I lean on the bed and put my hands on his forehead. I decided that when his fever remained high I'll definitely bring him to the hospital. I heard him clear his throat before avoiding my gaze.
I put my hand on his face and gently make him looked at me - when our eyes finally locked - I chuckle when I realize what's going on as I tucked my hair behind my ears as I continued studying his face "Let's see... your face is flushed but you are just probably blushing. At least your face had a color now, especially your lips. Your temperature is not that high so I guess you will be fine by the end of this day. You're not stripping your clothes off and you're not trying to make yourself a human burrito as well. You're not asking me to sing a song for you"
His eyes were amused as he looked at me - maybe he was thinking how the f**k I remember everything he had done for the last two days - but well, I am so good on remembering things.
Besides, it's my payback time. He asked me about my camping obviously he was trying to change the topic but of course, I won't let him changed it right away.
This situation is quite amusing!
"Show me a smile then, don't be unhappy. Can't remember when I last saw you laughing. This world makes you crazy and you've taken all you can bear, just call me up. 'Cause I will always be there."
"WIFEY, are you alright?" my sentiment was cut off short when I felt Natsu's hands on mine. I looked at his worried face "Are you alright?"
"I-I...I'm fine I just remember something" I muttered.
Natsu studied my face before he let out a deep sigh "Wifey, can I ask you a question? But I'm not forcing you to answer it"
"Did you... did you really pretend to be Lisanna before?" those words are barely escaped on his lips.
I feel my heart clench in pain as I look on his eyes "Because that's makes you happy" I avoid his gaze on me as I continue "I think that if I pretend to be her, I could fix you but I was wrong..." because I ended being broken too... just like you.
Natsu made me look on his face and I can see the emotion that I used to have before in my eyes "I don't want you to do it anymore. You don't need to pretend of someone else just to make me happy," he says almost like a whisper "I like you for being you"
"Stop this Natsu," I say as I remove his hands on my face "Please stop saying like that. I know that you're just feeling guilty. But please I want you to understand that my decision is final."
"But I don't want to let you go, Lucy"
"Aren't you being selfish, Natsu?" tear escaped from my eyes as I looked directly on his face "Even you promise not to hurt me... you will eventually break your own promises."
"Then, I'll be there with you. If I make a mistake by hurting you again, then I will stay on your side and make it up to you." He held my both hand as he presses his forehead on mine, looking on my eyes deeply. " I'm been dying since the day you left me. So please give me another chance to correct all the mistakes that I make. "
"Correcting your mistakes will never erase the pain you caused me." - I said.
Pain cross to his eyes as he looks on me, he didn't say anything and the next thing I knew he pulled me closer on him as he hugs me tightly. I didn't move and just let myself feel his warm body against mine.
I AM busy watching the walking of the dead on my laptop. It's been a month since the last time I saw him. After our date that day, he never texted me, the last words he had said to me that day was 'Sorry and Goodnight'.
"Are you sure that you're watching, Princess?" I heard Zeref said.
"I'm not sure also," I said as I looked on his direction "I can't even understand this episode though I had watched it for sixth times" I murmur
"Are you alright?" he asked me worriedly.
"I'm not sure," I say pouting my lips.
He was about to open his mouth when my phone started to ring. I open it; only to find out that it's an unknown number. I hesitate to answer the call but I just found myself answering it. "Hello?"
"Is this Mrs. Lucy Heartfilia-Dragneel, you're the persons that Mr. Natsu Dragneel in case of emergency. Please, you need to go to Magnolia's hospital for the patient Ma'am."
My world stops for as I heard the woman said on the phone. Natsu's in the hospital?
