The Misunderstanding

Chapter Four

"Why are you crying?" JongHyeop asked her.

Nicole looked up. She cleaned her face with her palm. "It's none of your business! And why did you come back? Did I tell you to returned here?" Nicole being annoyed and pissed off at the same time. Her words was quit harsh too. She didn't even think straight if her words was nice or not.

"Because, well I'm staying here with you," he answered confidently. "And beside I have nowhere to go. So maybe, I can just live here while waiting for you to die."

"So, is that my problem? You don't have a place to stay? This is not a shelter." She said making a high-brows. Pretending to be strong and firm in front of him. "You can't live here," she said in a soft voice. She felt a little bit

disappointed and sad by chasing him out. Nicole quickly dried her tears from falling again to her face.

"But, why?" JongHyeop asked softly. His voice is so damn softy too.Like a baby that need a real comfort or else he will scream in tears if he will got disappointed.

"Because...because, Ami won't allow you to stay here," she lied.

"Really?" JongHyeop said. "Your friend just told me just now that I can stay here if I want. I mean, as long as I wanted," he smile. "But I explained to her that I can only stay here just for a month before I'll return to hell."

"Yah! You!" Nicole shouted. "You homeless devil! How can you make Ami an excused just to stay here? You have that nerved! How could you do this to me?"

"I didn't." JongHyeop said. "Well, she's the one who offered me to stay here. She's nice, your friend, I mean, " he explained. "So don't be mad, Princess."

"Oh, wow! You're really something! I should clap my hands of to you. Did you tell a lie to Ami just to convinced her that you need to live here with us?" Nicole said in disbelieved.

"Nope!" He answered shaking his head. "Maybe, she's just so kind and softhearted. Not, like someone else."

"My gosh! Really! Really! I think I'm losing my mind. I'm going crazy!" Nicole said in a loud voice. Everything is in a wrong term and what happening right now is not in a proper plan. The devil infront of her ruined it. How can she face Ami that this devil is the real reason why she's dying soon? How can she leave Ami alone in this world? How is she going to explain it all to Ami? She can't tell it right now.

"You know, just live a happy life starting tomorrow so that you can leave in this world with a happy memories. Embrace that days left."

"And who are you to say that? Who are you to preached me? You can't tell me what to do in my life." She disapproved. But in her mind this devil is making a sense after all. Her feeling become more at ease too. And advising her to live a good life while she have a time is quit a good reason.

"Then just live your life as usual. Being a pity person who doesn't know why her life is being unfair in this world? A girl who cursed her life to death and wanted to go hell to get burn." He said in a sighed."Well, hell is very hot. You'll scream in pain while your flesh got tear up with fire." He explained to make her shiver.

"How can you say that to me? Why so harsh?" Nicole said being annoyed. "And there you go again, huh? So what do you want? What do you want me to do?" She asked angrily. And well, it's normal to curse sometimes. You know? When life is in a mess and troubles."

"Then just die!" JongHyeop replied. "Die and go to hell with me. And everything will be fine. If that's what you wish for. I'm willing to grab you and burn you there."

Nicole gasped her breathed. How could this devil so straight forward? Why he was rushing her to die? Then she looked again at Ami. She was still sleeping even their voices are quit loud with that bickering.

"Carry her to the room." Nicole suddenly said. Changing the topic of what they are arguing.Because she knows she was wrong. She was wrong the whole time and for her there's no turning back. She will die soon and she must accept it as her fate.

It's been a few minutes that Ami slept like that in the kitchen table. She won't let Ami slept like position like that. It was very uncomfortable because her hand is her pillow. Her head will be hurt when she wakes up.

JongHyeop walked closely towards Ami where she was sleeping. He gently picked up her best friend and carried her to the room where Nicole walked in. He slowly put Ami down in the bed. Nicole help JongHyeop to covered Ami with the blanket. Nicole looked at JongHyeop waving her hand saying that they need to go out of the room and let Ami sleep in peace.

"Are you not hungry?" JongHyeop asked her.

Nicole looked at him. "Well, I'm hungry. After all those crazy arguments. My stomach said it needs food. And my brain was getting drain as well."

JongHyeop smile. "Do you want some ramen?" He asked her again.

Nicole just nodded as an answered. She sat down at the kitchen chair watching JongHyeop making her a ramen. While staring at his back. Nicole suddenly thinks why this man become a devil? The figured he have is so angelic. How come this person is one of the second hand of Satan? Is he a human before? She shaked his head because of what playing thoughts in her mind. But she still can't believed why she change of heart. Is because JongHyeop words of approaches? Well, he was right after all. And she must admit the she was got defeated by this Devil. And even it's only a few hours that they met, here they are---together.

"What are you thinking?" JongHyeop snapped at her. "It's quit a deep thoughts, huh?" He said smiling.

"Nothing." She replied in a sighed.

"Oh, the ramen is done." JongHyeop said happily. "Let's eat!" He said carrying the pot of ramen with his two hands while putting it slowly to the table. He quickly grab a spoon and a chopstick for them to use. Nicole got confused. Are they sharing it with only one pot? When Nicole tried to stand up JongHyeop was already feeding her with a spoon of ramen. Nicole can't resist, she opened her mouth and she eat it because it smell tasty.

"Did the ramen taste good?" JongHyeop asked. Nicole nodded. She can't even said yes because of that confusing feeling. "Okay. So, eat," he said pointing at the pot of ramen. Nicole picked up her spoon and chopstick and she scooped a ramen. It's really taste good or she just hungry. She didn't even realized that she was sharing it with the devil for the first time in her life.

"Umm.." Nicole started when her senses came back. "Well, thank you for the food," she said in a calm voice.

"You're most welcome." JongHyeop respond with a smile in his lips.

Why so damn this devil so cute when smiling, Nicole said in her mind. The guts of feeling in her is so confusing specially when this man treat her in a special way or he just pretending to be nice at her. Ah! Whatever! Nicole said in her mind. "Well, do you have a name?" She asked shyly not looking at him.

"Yes, of course," he answered. "My name is Chae Jong Hyeop." He said proudly at his name.

"Oh so cool." Nicole smile. "Well, I'm Nicole Lyn. So, you can just call me Nicole in short," she replied even he doesn't ask what her name.

"Uhm, what a nice name, Nicole" JongHyeop said. "But the owner of the name is not," he said teasing her again.

"What?" Nicole gasped. "You're telling me my name is nice but me--- I'm not?" She said pointing at herself. "How can you say that? Yes, I know I'm a b***h but no---not you!"

"I don't want to argue again." JongHyeop said."I'm tired." He said giving up.

"You started first!" Nicole responded.

Then suddenly they got shocked when someone stood infront of them. They stared at each other. It was Ami, she was already awake. Nicole quickly went to Ami where she was standing. "What's happening?" Ami asked. Getting confused to both of them. "I can hear you are arguing," she said.

"Oh, it's nothing," Nicole lied. "We're just talking with a loud voice without realizing you're sleeping in the room," she explained.

"I can smell ramen." Ami said.

JongHyeop and Nicole looked at each other. There is no ramen left. They ate it all. JongHyeop walked away with the empty pot and he put it slowly to the sink. Nicole lied again, and she said Ami was just dreaming and she need to go back go sleep. There is no ramen at all. She lied at her and Ami believed it so she walked back to her room. Nicole shaked her head after doing that to Ami but she doesn't have a choice. She looked at JongHyeop he was now lying on the sofa comfortably after washing the utensils they used and the pot.

Nicole went to her room to find a blanket for him. After she found a good one she walked towards to JongHyeop where he was lying down. When she tried to put the blanket on him JongHyeop suddenly pulled her arms hard that she fell on his chest. Nicole shocked. She doesn't know what to do? She can hear JongHyeop heartbeat. The warm blood on him make her senses crazy. It was really making her pissed now. What Am I thinking? This is not what meant to be happening? Why my heart is suddenly thumping so wild and crazy. Nicole said in her thoughts.
