Jason stared at me silently for quite a while. I was sure his mind was busy searching for an answer. “Jason.”
“Yes,” he replied, confused.
“You haven’t answered my question.”
“I-I don’t know. I promise I’ll think about it. You know what my mother is like, right? She’ll be sad if she finds out Hannah and I are getting divorced because she doesn’t want my marriage to end up like hers. Usually, her health deteriorates when there’s a problem. I want nothing bad to happen to her.”
The obstacle between us is indeed his mother and Jensen. If Jason divorces Hannah, I’m sure custody of Jensen will go to Jason because Hannah doesn’t work, so she’ll be unable to support Jensen financially.
