“What are you doing here? Are you not getting enough work?” Ms. Rose asked. Suddenly, their expressions changed. They began to fidget and try to find excuses.
“We’re just discussing something. Sorry,” one woman replied as she hurried back to her desk, followed by the other women.
Ms. Rose stood in the middle of the room and said, “I am not stopping you from discussing things, but I’ve noticed that you’ve been discussing things for too long since this morning. Remember, our deadline is getting closer and there’s no time to relax. I am busy every hour of the day. You can gossip during lunch break, but I don’t enjoy seeing the four of you gossiping during work hours. Understood?” The four of them nodded obediently and returned to work.
