32 Zara She had been turning and tossing in her bed all night, trying to convince herself it was the right thing to do. It felt like betrayal, although she was merely helping justice along. He was her father, after all. Nonetheless, he deserved to atone for his atrocious crimes against humanity. Deserved to be dragged before a military court and sentenced to whatever the judge deemed just. In the morning she trudged downstairs and went through her chores like an automaton, looking horrible with the dark circles beneath her eyes. Go for a walk, eat a pastry, do anything to take your mind off him.” “Thank you,” Zara said, grateful Cath didn’t have the slightest inkling who actually had been on her mind most of the night,
