THE LYRE—VICTORIA STRAITLYREWe were six hours into our eighth day when Sam got us underway through Victoria Strait on course 071 degrees. Our immediate goal was Larsen Sound and then Franklin Strait stretching north between Prince of Wales Island to the west and the Boothia Peninsula that pushed northward from the Canadian mainland into the Canadian archipelago.
