The night is coming to an end But Emma's mind was still racing with unexpected thoughts and emotions. Liam is charming, witty and lovable, a personality that Emma has always admired in people. When walking home at night Emma finds herself lost in memories of her past with Noah. They have known each other since childhood. Growing up in the same quiet neighborhood Noah always protected her. The boy who stood by her side through all the hardships of her childhood. Comfort her when things are difficult and encourage her when she feels depressed. Emma couldn't push herself as she often dreamed or told her to let her go. It was there again—Noah was always there. Always comforting She smiled to herself and typed a quick answer. Emma – “Yes, it was wonderful to see you there too. Sounds like coffee, let's go.” But when she hung up the phone Part of her hesitated. Can she understand these feelings for Noah and rediscover the spark she feels with Liam? It wasn't that she was torn between the two—she always had a basis for making decisions. But for the first time, Emma felt unsure. That afternoon Emma decided to go for a walk, hoping the fresh air would clear her mind. She walked through the city park. Her mind drifted to the conversation they'd had on this bench. It was the summer before they both left for college. Noah has been accepted into a prestigious business school. They watched the sunset together and talked about their dreams and where life would take them. “I'm going to miss this,” Noah said in a soft voice as he stared at the horizon. Emma looked at him. Her heart ached to think that their lives had taken different paths. “Yes, me too. Things will never be the same when we live in different cities.” Noah smiled, although there was sadness in his eyes. “But we will always have this. You and me, no matter what happens.” Emma nodded. But she felt bad too. What they share is special. But she never pushed any further. Maybe she was afraid of ruining their friendship. Maybe Noah felt the same way, or maybe, just maybe, they missed their moment. Emma was now sitting on the bench. She wondered if they still had a chance or if they were running out of time. She shook her head, trying to get the thought out of her mind. But Noah's presence in her life is undeniable. And now that Liam has stepped into the picture Her heart was even more confused than before. She sighed, knowing that she would soon have to face them.
