Natasha pov When they left the vampire clan Alexei took her to an apartment or penthouse where he continued to scream at her. Natasha didn’t know what to do with her wick screaming in her face, so she couldn’t stop the tears from running down her face. She started to tremble and Lex finally pushed her to the ground. “Goddess Natasha! What is wrong with you?” Natasha didn’t know; she curled into a ball as it got harder and harder to breathe. She was scared, what was happening? Nat reached out to her wick to calm her down, but he jerked his arm away. “Don’t touch me,” he said with ice in his voice. Natasha’s head started to pound and one hand went to her head. The other stayed on her chest as she was still struggling to breathe. “What’s wrong with me?” Nat asked in a pathetic voice. Alexei peered down at her then suddenly it felt like her skull was on fire. The pain was so intense that she couldn’t stop the vomit from coming. Nat just missed Alexei and he exclaimed in disgust. Without warning, she got a picture in her head; it seemed like one of her visions, but of the past. Alexei and his friends were screaming and yelling at her while she was at the academy. It was so clear as if it were a memory, though it couldn’t be. The things Alexei was saying to her were beyond cruel. Lex called her an abomination, a half-blood. Alexei would never do that, he always defended her anytime she was called names by any of the other kids at the academy. He claimed to always know they were wicks. He wouldn't do this. Nat didn’t realize it, but she had passed out. She woke up in a tiny pool of her own blood and vomit. She traced the source to her nose and wiped herself clean. Thankfully she was in a bed and not the floor like she thought Alexei might have left her. She was also thankful that she found herself on her side otherwise she would have choked. Natasha looked for her phone to check the time, but she couldn’t find it. ‘Huh, that’s odd,’ she thought. There was a clock on the bedside table and she was able to see that it was around nine in the morning. Natasha was shocked she had slept for close to twelve hours. Nat quickly went to the bathroom attached to the bedroom and exited the bedroom. Natasha looked around the penthouse calling out for Alexei. He was gone. ‘Maybe he went to get breakfast,’ Nat thought as she came back into the kitchen looking around checking the cupboards and fridge. The kitchen was mainly empty of a lot of staple foods. Natasha had waited for him for another ten minutes when she decided to go ahead and make herself a bowl of cereal. She made the cereal, set the bowl on the counter when she saw the note. Had to go on a mission. My phone broke so I took yours. Will be back soon. Love Alexei. P.S. don’t leave the apartment as it’s a bad area and I didn’t leave the keys. Alexei Natasha read and reread the note several times before the words truly sank in. Then sadness faded away and anger quickly took its place. Natasha couldn’t believe this! He just left her here!! Sick. Where was her wick? More importantly, when would he come back? How could Alexei leave her here alone in an unfamiliar place? Natasha searched the apartment for her phone, but quickly remembered that Lex had taken it from her. Nat thought about magically reaching out to her mother for advice, but she remembered they had fought right after discovering Alexei was her wick. Nat concentrated on the memory, her mother’s voice was slightly raised. She couldn’t remember the finer details, but her mom didn’t want her to leave. ‘Huh, that’s odd,” Nat thought as she reflected on the memory. It was odd, blurry, as if she had been drinking that night. Nat tried to remember if she had been drinking that night. Honestly, Nat can’t recall ever drinking. Nat’s headache was getting worse so she decided to take a long hot bath. Hoping that would making things better. Luka pov Luka’s fury knew no bounds when at found out he just missed his daughter. Magic crackled like electricity between his fingers. Luka looked at the bed where they most likely shared intimacy and without his permission, the magic was released and blew the bed up. “Hey!” Stephan cried out at the destruction. “Sorry,” Luka said with no remorse. “Did they give you any clues where they were going?” Luka asked and Stephan shrugged. “Not that I can recall… Things definitely weren’t harmonious like one normally sees in newly bonded pairs.” “That’s cause he did something to her, we aren’t sure what,” Luka told the vampire prince. He wasn’t aware of the romance until the man’s crowning ceremony a few months ago. Luka was congratulating the new king when he accidentally saw some past memories, a side effect of being super powerful. Luka saw him with his daughter on a couch in a small room. It took every fiber in his being not to ask Stephan about his daughter, but he didn’t as Natasha made it perfectly clear she no longer wanted him in her life any longer. Luka could feel her soul tethered to his and that she was alive, but the block she had put up was a strong one. Natasha was definitely his daughter, until the block was down he would never be able to find her. “He didn’t want me to talk to her, I originally thought it was because we had dated,” Stephan told Luka bringing him back to the present. Stephan thought for a moment, “Now that I think of it, he seemed more worried than anything else.” Talking to the vampire gave Luka an idea of what most likely happened but he needed to be sure. “Thank you, you’ve been a big help. Please call me again if you or any of the vampires hear from her again.” Luka said and shook his hand. Stephan nodded, “Will do.” Luka teleported out of the clan in Budapest into the dungeons in Siberia. While the coven was located in Colorado Springs the coven's dungeons were kept in Siberia. The scent of burnt flesh immediately assaulted his senses. It seems like his guards were having some fun. Luka walked the halls ignoring the pleas for mercy, even from the people who birthed him. He stopped in front of the Patrovi’s and turned to them with an icy smile. “Enjoying your accommodations?” The woman just cried while Alexander tried to put on a brave face. Luka though could see his fear in his aura. “It’s lovely.” His smile spread wider across his face, giving a maniacal look. “That’s what I love to hear, I’m sure my parents are saying the same thing,” Luka said and pointed to his parents just two cells over. That caused the woman to cry harder and Luka’s smile to grow impossibly wide. He made sure they were placed together so the Patrovis could see no one was exempt from hurting his daughter. Not even himself when this was all over. “So you ready to tell me what your son did to my daughter? Don’t lie to me again! We both know you were there. Luka screamed and Patrovi sighed heavily, “Only if you let my wife out, she didn’t have anything to do with it. She only did a protection spell around the house. We kept her out of all the planning.” Luka thought long and hard about it. “Fine, she will be pardoned after you talk. However, if I find out she was an accessory after the fact then her fate will be the same as yours,” he decrees and the woman cries more. Alexander nods frantically, “She wasn’t. This was all mine and Alexei’s decision. When we found out the two of them were wick’s it was our ticket to ruling the coven.” Patrovi looked at him nervously and Luka sighed heavily. “I’m not a total moron I figured that part out a long time ago Alexander. Newsflash you or your son are strong enough. Go on,” Luka demanded and Patrovi looked put out at hearing he was weak. Alexander continued, “Well Alexei tried to win her over and it didn’t work despite the wick bond he decided to kidnap her and change her memories. He didn’t have the juice to do it all himself, so he borrowed some of mine.” Luka was furious that his magic ripped out of him like Zeus’s lightning bolts. Luka heard the screams all around him as his lightning went into the bars of the cells electrifying them. The cells were starting to heat up, and so was everything in the dungeon. Everyone was screaming as Luka was losing control of his magic. Then suddenly he felt her, Svetlana. Despite his magic electrocuting her Fitz walked up and touched his cheek. “солнышко, come back to me,” Svetlana told him. Sunshine, that’s what his precious Natasha was to him. Luka’s magic fizzled out as he dropped to his knees and started to cry. Svetlana wrapped her arms around him and teleported them out of that place. Natasha pov It was her third day here when she felt someone teleport. She thought it was Alexei and got super excited but was disappointed to see Ivan. “Hey Ivan, how are you?” Nat said as she saw the two large grocery bags in his hands. “What are you doing?” “Alexei said you would need some groceries,” Ivan placed the bag on the counter and started to unload them. Natasha was beyond grateful to see them as she had been living on cereal since she arrived. Natasha grabbed the bacon and immediately started to cook it. “Are you hungry?” Nat asked Ivan. Ivan nods, “Sure.” The two of them start a casual conversation as Natasha cooks breakfast. “Did Alexei say when he would be back?” Nat asks as she plates up breakfast. Ivan gives her a small shake of the head. “No I’m sorry he didn’t.” Nat simply nods and starts eating. The two of them eat without any further conversation and everything goes well until she gets a sudden throbbing in her head. Nat goes to the counter where she keeps the bottle of pain medication. Dang, she’s almost out. “Hey, you okay?” Ivan asked her as she took the pills. Natasha nodded, “Yeah my main problem is boredom,” Natasha said with a smile. Ivan nodded, “Here take this book I’ve been reading, it may help you.” Ivan handed her a book and she took a look. Common spells and their Side Effects Natasha shrugged and took the book deciding to read the book tonight. “Thanks for breakfast,” Ivan said as he teleported out and Nat was left alone again.
