Chapter One — The Enemy
Brianna had always believed that the worst thing in her life was Alexander.
Alexander was the arrogant son of the most powerful mafia boss in the city. At school, he made sure everyone knew that he was untouchable.
He mocked Brianna.
He embarrassed her.
He made her feel like she was invisible.
But Brianna never knew that Alexander wasn't the only danger in her life.
One rainy evening, she returned home and immediately noticed something was wrong.
Her father was sitting in the living room with several men dressed in black.
And standing behind them was Alexander.
Brianna stopped at the doorway.
“Dad?”
Her father's eyes filled with guilt.
“Brianna... sit down.”
“I don't want to sit down. Who are these people?”
Nobody answered.
Then a tall man stepped forward.
He was Alexander's father—the feared mafia boss known throughout the city.
His voice was calm.
“Your father owes me a debt.”
Brianna looked at her father.
“What does that have to do with me?”
Her father's silence was the answer.
Brianna's heart sank.
“You didn't…”
Her father finally whispered,
“I had no other choice.”
Brianna stepped backward.
“You sold me?”
The room became silent.
Alexander looked at her.
For the first time, there was no teasing smile on his face.
There was something else in his eyes.
Surprise.
Because even he hadn't expected his father to bring Brianna into their world.
Brianna clenched her fists.
“I am not something you can sell.”
The mafia boss smiled faintly.
“Perhaps not.”
He turned toward the door.
“But from tonight onward, your life will never be the same.”
Brianna watched him leave.
She didn't know where they were taking her.
She didn't know what awaited her.
But she knew one thing.
She would never willingly become their prisoner.
And if she had to enter the most dangerous mafia family in the city to uncover the truth…
Then she would.
Because Brianna wasn't going to let them destroy her.
She was going to destroy their secrets first.
