Chapter 3. A Night of Passion

1200 Words
The rest of the weekend was a blur, as Max kept everything professional but intensified his compliments on Natalie’s beauty. Back in New York, Natalie couldn’t get over the dangerous yet intoxicating kiss she shared with Max. “Is that our second kiss or the first?” She kept asking herself. “I should have allowed that. Max is my boss, mixing pleasure with work always ends badly”, she kept saying to herself. “But can he even fall for someone like me? His ex is an A-class model. What is he doing with me?” were the questions that her inner voice kept asking her. “Unlike attracts,” Natalie said out loud, as though she was trying to convince someone other than herself. Bach Technologies’ gala at the MET was in full swing, with New York's elite glittering under the lights. Natalie stepped out of the Tesla car that Max had sent to pick her up. She paused to take in the glamorous scene before her. She nervously smoothed her new dress, hoping she didn't look out of place. "Ready, Natalie?" Max appeared beside her, looking unfairly handsome in his tailored tuxedo. He offered his arm. “Ready as I can be,” Natalie said, nodding. “No need to be nervous, it's just a party” Max reassured her as he guided her inside, hyper-aware of his hand on her back. Waiters circulated with champagne as an orchestra played. "Quite a lavish event, Mr. Black," Natalie commented, sipping her drink. Max leaned close. "Max. And nothing but the best for my company." “I thought calling you Max was reserved for non-official gatherings, and this is a work event”, Natalie commented. “For a beauty like you, just call me Max tonight,” Max replied as his eyes drifted over her. "That dress is exquisite on you. I have excellent taste." Heat rushed to Natalie's face at the intimate compliment. "It's too generous. Being your secretary is honor enough." "Nonsense. I enjoy spoiling my best girl." Max's endearment rolled off his tongue casually, but it made Natalie's pulse quicken. She cast her gaze around the dazzling room, trying to still her nerves. "Oh look, there's the mayor. And is that Beyoncé?" Max guided her through the crowds, an anchoring hand always on her back. "Only the top clients and influencers. But no one holds a candle to your beauty tonight." The champagne was going straight to Natalie's head, loosening her tongue. "You're too kind, si- I mean, Max." "I only speak the truth." He leaned in conspiratorially. "What do you say we get some air?" Soon Natalie found herself alone with Max on a secluded balcony overlooking the glimmering cityscape. His eyes reflected the lights as he edged closer. "Have I told you how thrilled I am you could attend tonight?" Natalie's mouth went dry. "It's been wonderful. Like a dream." "It doesn't have to end." Max's voice dropped lower as he caressed her bare shoulder, exposed by the dress's cut. "Come home with me tonight, Natalie." Natalie's head swam. She knew she should refuse, but the champagne ignited a recklessness in her. She let him pull her into a hungry kiss under the stars, throwing caution aside. "Is that a yes?" Max murmured against her neck. “Hmm… Hmm,” Natalie mumbled as she could only nod, her heart hammering against his chest. Soon she was swept up in his private limousine, speeding through the city lights toward an unknown future. Max's hand trailed up her leg. "You will even be more beautiful out of that dress." “I don't think we should-” Natalie tried to resist. “Don’t think, just feel” Max replied as he made a trail of kisses from her ear lobe, to her shoulder, and down to the slit exposing her cleavage. “…Ahm…” Natalie let out a soft moan, as she grinded into the plush leather of the car seat. Max kissed her on her inviting lips. He planted a trail of kisses on her forehead, and her pouty lips again, then back to her neck. “I have always wanted to do this since I saw you,” Max said as he kissed Natalie’s neck and her ear lobes, and kissed her lips again. Natalie nibbled on her lower lips invitingly as she looked up into Max’s eyes. “Damn,” Max muttered as he probed Natalie’s mouth with his tongue. “…Hmm…” Natalie let out a loud moan as Max kissed her deeply. Max's left-hand wandered south as it moved down to fondle Natalie’s perky boobs over her dress. She let out another low moan into his mouth as he french-kissed her. Natalie’s body was warm and receptive to Max’s touch, with visible goosebumps on her body as her response to him as he felt her left n****e. “Oh my… Don’t st… Hmm…” Natalie kept moaning as she grinded her butt into the chair. She was lost in the moment and didn’t care if they were in the back of his car. “We are here sir,” the driver said over the intercom, as Max and Natalie pulled apart and straightened their dresses. In a whirlwind, Natalie was ushered up the elevator into his sleek penthouse. Max poured two glasses of whisky, eyes burning. "No reason to wait any longer." “I am not shaved down there,” Natalie said shyly. “If you understand what I mean, I was not prepared for this” she added. “The more natural, the merrier” Max replied, giving her a look of assurance and ravaging lust. He kissed her deeply, walking her backward toward the bedroom, their clothes discarded along the way. Natalie's skin was on fire everywhere he touched. This was madness, but she was powerless to resist. “Hmm,” Natalie muttered as she stretched on the gigantic king-sized bed. Sunlight streaming through the curtains woke Natalie. For a disoriented moment, she forgot where she was. Then she registered the arm around her waist, the warm body against her back. Max propped his head up, smiling languidly. "Good morning, beautiful. I could get used to waking up like this." Reality came crashing down. Natalie clutched the sheet, mortified by her recklessness. "Oh God. Last night was..." "Incredible." Max silenced her stammers with a deep kiss. "You were perfect. Don't regret it for a second." Natalie twisted her fingers, unsure what came next. She was helplessly drawn to Max but was woefully unprepared for affairs with magnetic billionaires. Max stroked her hair. "Relax, darling. I'd like you to accompany me to St. Moritz next week. The chalet is stunning in winter." Natalie blinked, incredulous. "St. Moritz? I couldn't possibly-" "You can and you will. You deserve to be pampered and worshipped." Max left no room for argument, making plans for the decadent European getaway. A knock on the door startled Max. “You need to go now, you need to hide” he whispered to Natalie as she looked at him confused. “Who is… What is…” Natalie muttered as Max began to pick up her underwear.
