“Let the sledding begin,” Sandy says, as the wedding guests are snowmobiled from Cutter Church to The Golden Mongoose on Falls Run Road, which is only one-point-two miles away. Those attending the reception and who have no way of commuting to the event are provided rides by Pam, Bobo, Magnum, and Jake on their high-speed snowmobiles. To the newlyweds’ surprises there are no complaints. In fact, all the guests brave the torrents of wind, snow, and the loud machines. Although the timing for the reception at The Golden Mongoose is behind by almost eighty minutes because of the blizzard-like conditions, it doesn’t put the grooms into dramatic spins.
