Tan's POV
"Tatty bye darlings!" I said as I collected the contents of the box and made my way to the front door.
Chris tried to stop me by grabbing my elbow and yanking me back, but he had no chance. I pulled my elbow free and carried on walking to the front door. This would be the last time I would ever need to be around people like this. I want to say that werewolves are better behaved but, to tell you the truth, werewolves were worse. But, at least I could get into a fight with one of them and not have to worry about my wolf ripping them into ribbons.

Chris' POV.
I couldn't believe it. Just like that, she was gone. I mean, I never thought for a second that she would actually leave. Tanya was always very quiet, I guess would be the word. She never caused an argument, never got angry and threw a tantrum. Even when she caught me and Serena, she didn't even get mad. It was like she knew all along that something was going on and once it was confirmed, in her eyes, that was it. She would never believe me after she caught me.
Hell, it took her months to finally decide to end things properly. I didn't even try to hide Serena now. Anytime I came home with her in tow, Tanya had set places for us and the staff had made us dinner. Of course, she was nowhere to be seen. I thought that it was odd at first and then decided it was probably just because she didn't want to see me or Serena. Maybe she was right to avoid us.
Ahh, who cares now anyway. She's gone and I have Serena.
But why did that leave a bad taste in my mouth and a pain in my chest?

Tan's POV.
I arrived first at the transport terminal to drop off the hire car and the last couple of my boxes. I still had some time before the flight left for Arizona, so, I made my way through security and through check-in to the terminal.
My flight hadn't been called yet, so I went to one of the cafés and grabbed myself something to eat and drink before the flight and, because of my two unwanted guests, I missed breakfast.
A ham and cheese croissant and a cup of tea later I felt freer than I had in a long time. I was going to finally be able to breathe again and not have to p***y foot around my cheating ex and that skank Serena. I had busied myself with some work that would be due over the weekend and decided to make a head start now so that I didn't have as much pressure on me while I settled back into my pack.
I heard my flight get called over the speaker system, so I checked the departure board, and I was due to leave from Gate 23. Why was it always so far away, was there even a gate 1 or anything, something closer?
I groaned knowing that the airport was huge, and the gate was, what felt like, miles away. Luckily, there was a shuttle train that would take passengers to that end of the airport. I grabbed my bag and my things from the table, paid my tab and then proceeded to make my way to the shuttle.
I got to my gate and waited for my seat and row to be called over the speaker system. They checked my passport and allowed me to get on the plane and then make my way to my seat. I couldn't work out what it was, but there was something that had my wolf on edge. As I approached my seat, there was a faint scent of pine, earth and mint. An odd combination, but it was very appealing to me and my wolf, in both a good and bad way. It made my heart flutter and butterflies took flight in my stomach. It was almost like... No, it couldn't be possible. Could it?
I mean, I didn't get a dangerous feeling from anyone on the plane, but there was someone here that now had my attention.
