Emily was stunned. She felt like Ethan had lost his mind, perhaps because of the provocation she had caused.
“Mr. Thomas, are you determined to punish me or to pin me down?” Emily felt the first possibility was more likely.
“Emily, you proposed the solution, three requests.” Ethan sneered. “Do you want to go back on your word?”
“This isn’t about going back on my word. The three requests I agreed to were compensation for deceiving you and stealing your medical book. But… the premise of fulfilling those requests is that we go through a divorce.” Emily bit her lip while trying to reason with him.
Ethan scoffed and turned towards the bathroom, not saying another word.
