Chapter Six Disgust churned in the pit of Alex’s stomach as he stood atop the inner walls looking out on the traitors residing in the outer palace. They’d taken his home, but that wasn’t the worst of it. They’d found magic folk who hadn’t been able to flee to Bela or seek refuge in the inner palace.
