"I'll wait for you, Lockhart."
God, those words repeated over and over in my head. My stripper would be the first to meet her if I could even call her mine. I've been living in my dreams ever since the night I left and after today it got even worse. Isabella openly teased me and I liked it, I got excited because she was in the game. That night, I went home thinking about her amazing body and decided to put the woman who was driving me crazy out of my mind. I was in the bathtub for about an hour, my thoughts wandering from the sinuous curves of this dancer's body to the curves of Sydney's body. Sydney Smith? When I closed my eyes, I saw her slender and delicate face in my mind, with a gentle and gentle expression, and she was wearing a white dress that showed all her curves.
It's now possible. I was attracted to something in both of them, even though they were so different. They can be similar and different at the same time. I shook my head at the ridiculous idea of combining two completely different women into one body. I was a little confused as there was no one there for so long. I got out of the bathtub and wrapped myself in the white towel I had prepared earlier. I wet my hair, combed it to the side, and looked at my tired face in the mirror. No one saw Alexander alone and vulnerable, or at least as far as he was concerned, no one wanted to see him. I wore my boxers and shirt to go to bed.
At 7:45 am Alfred was already waiting for me in front of my building in his black Mercedes. Alfred opened the door with a polite gesture and I quickly got into the car. I flipped through the newspaper on my seat and saw a lot of good news and bad news. I wondered when newspapers would become more positive and pay more attention to good events. The trip was quiet and surprisingly the traffic was calm today. In just 12 minutes, we arrived in front of Lockhart Corp. Alfred got up from his seat again, walked towards my door, and opened it. I went outside, signed a thank you sign, and walked to the entrance of the building. The employees hurried to their respective locations as usual. I walked to the elevator and entered a small silver room, where I pressed the button for the top floor, where my office was. When the door was about to close, someone hurriedly stopped it.
" Excuse me.'' I heard a familiar voice. Sydney looked up and noticed me looking at him. She immediately lowered her gaze.
“Good morning, Mr. Lockhart” Her tone was polite.
“Good morning, Ms. Smith.” I arrived this morning.
"Traffic in New York was uneventful today, sir. | I brought you some coffee," she said, handing me a Starbucks cup
"You didn't spit, did you?" I joked and took the cup from her hand. I could see the smile on her face, it was so beautiful. She looked even better today. She is prettier than other days. She wore a high-waisted plaid skirt like the one she wore in high school, only more elegant, and a delicate white blouse. She had high heels on her feet and a black scarf around her neck. Her hair was slightly wavy. I thought she looked great today. I had the urge to compliment her, but I think she would feel a little uncomfortable.
“No, sir I promise I didn't,” she said with a laugh. That made the atmosphere even more relaxed.
I said, "Good," and took a sip of my hot coffee.
"I have a meeting today, right?" I asked as I got off the elevator. Sydney quickly grabbed her notepad and looked at the page where she had written my schedule for yesterday.
“Yes, lunch, ma’am, with the representatives of each country.
“Oh my god!” I hate these guys, they kiss each other’s butts all the time.” I said, irritated.
“But I would like you to confirm your appointment and come with me." She looked at me a little confused and surprised at the idea. Sydney is good at developing my theme and we just recently started working recently.
"I hope you don't mind missing your lunch break today. I know you're going out with your friends."
"No problem, Mr. Lockhart. I'll go with you. ”
Sydney's Point of View
"Where are you going?" asked Mia, sitting next to me.
"I'm going to a business lunch with my Alexander, Mia" I whispered to her as I typed on my computer keyboard. Mia looked at me suspiciously.
"This man has a lot of private life, so how did he invite you to lunch?"
"We are not alone we are going to talk with representatives during lunch"
"Derek said he wanted to take you to lunch today"
Today's lunch was bad for him, Derek was a good man, but I wasn't interested in him in that respect. But perhaps it was a good idea to approach him at that moment and avoid future problems with Alexander Lockhart. But something inside my body stopped me. So he drew me to him like a magnet.
"Tell him I had no choice, Mia. I don't want to refuse these things. It's my job."
"It's your lunch break, Syd"
"Goodness, Mia! I used to go to lunch with Mr.Levine and you never gave me a hard time. And you knew that he hit on me every damn day" I said my tone raising.
"He was fine, Sydney. This man isn't! Did you forget that he likes Isabella?" I hadn't forgotten, but with Alexander, he wouldn't notice. I knew I had to be extra careful. But it's just a business lunch and there's no reason to despair.
"It's okay, Mia."
"I can do it."
"I think you're playing with fire."
"Trust me, I have nothing to do with him. No, he's just my boss."
"You're not. But what about Isabella? From what you told me, he'll be seeing you tomorrow." ”
“Isabella is a different person, now I am Sydney,” I said in a quiet tone. I understand Mia's worry. She was like my older sister, just younger. Ever since I've known her, she has treated me like her own baby and takes better care of me than anyone else. I loved it and felt safe with her. I knew Mia was right. Playing this game with Lauren is going to be the craziest thing ever. But nothing happened and everything was under control. I won't let anything go wrong, I needed this job.
"Okay, Sydney, I know what I'm doing, just be careful, okay?" she said, standing up and kissing my forehead.
"Thank you, Mia."
"Do you want to go to lunch?" I heard Derek's voice. He was walking towards us. I looked at Mia and she said to me: "That's your problem, deal with it," and she left. Derek looked at me with a confused expression, and I smiled shyly.
"Derek, I can't leave... Mr. Lockhartt asked me to accompany him to a business lunch, and I couldn't refuse."
"But we have lunch plans for last week, Sydney,'' he said softly.
"I know, but he just asked me this morning. I couldn't say no!" His expression looked regretful.
"If you want, we can go to dinner,'' I said without saying anything even thinking about it. Derek immediately smiled, assuaging the guilt that was hitting me.
“Really?” he asked doubtfully and I smiled and nodded.
"We can leave together?"
"Sure, I'll see you later"
Derek nodded and kissed my cheek. As soon as he left, I turned around and saw Alexander's intense gaze on me, sending a strong shiver through my body. Damn it! he has seen it all.
The trip to the restaurant was completely silent we sat in his imported car by the way, the car looked very expensive and that's Alexander's style. He was sitting with his thick legs crossed, reading something on his phone, and I was writing something in my notebook, trying to distract myself from the uncomfortable silence in this car.
"Do you have any plans today, Miss Smith?" I heard his cold voice.
“Nothing important, just lunch with friends.”
“Friends?” he asked, still looking at her phone.
"Yes sir, I have lunch with them every day."
"I imagine they don't like that I took you away from them, right'?"
"I don't think so, I postponed it tonight." Concentrated for many minutes. When we arrived, the driver, an old man named Alfred, stepped out of the car to open the door. I walked out first, took his briefcase, and then he
got out of the car too, and adjusted his formal clothes, it looked very nice on his body. We walked into a large, luxurious restaurant and
we sat at one of the reserved tables where the representatives were waiting for us.
The meeting was quiet and quite boring. Alexander answered all the doubts of the men in front of us. He was a bit nervous, they
were important representatives who wanted a contract with Lockhart Corp, and he would have to make a general assessment of the company's situation until Monday before signing the contract. It was a difficult task, but not impossible for him.
"Thank you, Alexander, see you on Monday." The gray-haired man said as he stood up.
" It's nice to meet you too, Ms.Smith. I'll give my answer on Monday, Mr.Lockhart." The two men left, leaving us alone.
"Finally! I thought this meeting would never end!" he said as he sat down in his chair.
"A little tired. Do you think you can postpone the balance sheet until Monday?" I asked when I sat down again.
"We can do it, Ms. Smith, I will need your help with all this. Let's just say we'll spend more time together now."
I felt my body trembling, I had a safe, fun time next to this man, even more so it would be very risky and dangerous for me.
“Is this okay with you?” His tone was curious.
"Yeah, no problem, we finish it on time."
"I hope you don't mind working this weekend, which is necessary, I need your help. I can give you a day off next week if you want."
"I'll help you, don't worry, Mr.Lockhart Well, try your best."
