Chapter 8
Voyager retraced the route back to Bollene Lock as the choir continued its lacklustre rehearsal. The conductor was just about to call a halt when the captain appeared. This was the first time most of the passengers had actually seen the captain since Lyons, but as he was in full uniform it was pretty clear who he was. After a quick word with the conductor, he indicated he wished to make an announcement. The choir expected some further information about the turnaround, so some of them were hardly listening and were talking amongst themselves; but this was not what the captain had to tell them.
