Charley sat behind the desk and watched Andy pace in front of the fireplace. Every time he stopped, his hand raked through his blond hair, leaving it framing his face in pointy chunks. “Damn it, Charley. It’s going to break Mother’s heart.” Andy swiped at his face, then he roamed the floor again. His booted feet padded silently on the carpet. “What if it’s a lie?” He stopped, his hazel eyes trained on her. “Lie or not.
