Chapter 9
Arianna
As I woke up from my deep relaxing sleep, I slowly start to remember that I’m not tucked under the safety of my own twin size covers in my dorm. I was in Tristan’s king size bed draped in his navy blue and black covers. Yet by the way Tristan was snuggled up against me you would think we were crapped up into a sleeping bag. I didn’t mind that part of that though.
I could stay cuddled up against my man all day. He looked so peaceful and calm and the fact that he was shirtless didn’t hurt. I had to be staring plenty hard while he slept because he began to wipe his eyes and wake up.
“Good Morning, lover boy” I smiled.
Then I remembered I hadn’t brushed my teeth yet. I never wiped a smile off my face so quick. I attempted to get up and run to the bathroom, but he tightens his grab on my waist.
“Wait, where you going?” he managed to say sleepily with his eyes still closed.
“Do you have an extra toothbrush?”
“Uhh… yeah. Look in the medicine cabinet.” He said opening his eyes but not letting my waist go.
“Okay, Tristan you have let me go.” I said laughing
“Oh… yea my bad” he let me go.
I walked into the bathroom, found the toothbrush; which happens to be pink. Aww, my baby thought enough about me to buy me a toothbrush. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. That was the best I could do considering I didn’t have any clothes here. I headed back to the bedroom.
I find Tristan, now with a shirt on. Big letdown there! He had also placed on his Nike free runs. So, I’m guessing he’s about to head to the gym.
“You going to the gym and not going to invite me? Rude!” I snapped playfully. I definitely didn’t want to work out if I could help it. He could have at least asked though. I was still a guest in his house.
“I could ask, but I’m not. We both know you way too lazy to actually work out”
“And here I was about to be a good girlfriend and cook some breakfast to thank my thoughtful boyfriend for letting me spend the night with him. Also, for buying me a princess pink toothbrush.” I smirked
“You really should do that cause after this workout Imma be hungry as hell” he rubbed his stomach.
“Then you better stop by burger king and have it your way cause ya lil comment just beat you out of a breakfast.” I laughed as flopped down on his bed
“Arianna, it’s way too early, to be playing about a man’s food” he stood before me and for some odd reason he was grinning. Then it hit me. This, n***o really thought he was about to kiss me before he brushed his teeth. Before his lips could crash into mine, I turned my face so the kiss landed on my cheek.
“Damn, ya man can’t get no love?”
“Not when he didn’t brush his teeth yet. I don’t want any dragon breath kisses.” Once I said that he really looked hurt.
“Really bae, what kind of nigga you think I am?
“One who thinks he has his girlfriend so whipped she would kiss him even with stank breath” I frowned. Honestly, his breath was fine when he woke up but I liked messing with him. It was part of our charm.
“Actually, I do have my girl whipped. So whipped that breakfast is going to be waiting on me when I get back from the gym. Oh and by the way, we have more than one bathroom in this apartment. Ya man brushed his teeth as soon as yo ass went in the other bathroom.”
He leaned down and kissed me deeply and passionately. So, passionately ya girl was having flashbacks from that day we finally admitted to our feelings. He pulled back after a while, grabbed his keys and winked at me before he walked into the hallway and then disappeared.
Did he really just get me hot from only a kiss and leave me here? I guess my ass might as well get to cooking that breakfast because I’m sure as hell whipped.
Tristan POV
After my usual banter with Arianna, I hopped in my car and headed to the gym. I got in around ten minutes because my apartment isn’t that far off campus. I’m just about to get in a quick lil workout then head back to the house to chill with my baby.
I worked on the weighs then I got on the treadmill to do some cardio. I was finished in about 45 minutes, so I was headed out of the gym to my car when I spotted Alicia. I really hope she ain’t see me; I don’t want to talk to her.
“So, you act like you don’t see me Tristan?” she snapped dramatic as f**k.
“Naw, what’s up with you?” I scratched the back of my head. I should have kept walking. Alicia used to be one of my hoes. Key words are USED TO BE. She got too clingy so I had to cut her loose. And that was even before, I got with Arianna. Of course, once I got with her I cut all my hoes loose. She deserves a faithful boyfriend and that’s what I plan on being to her.
“You would know if you answer my calls or texts?”
“It was good seeing you too, Alicia” I began to walk towards my car again.
“No, wait.” She grabbed my arm. I turned around and looked back at her like she was crazy.
“I’m sorry, dang.” She nervously bit her lip.
“What do you want?” I asked with frustration in my voice.
“I just gonna know why we ain’t “chilling” no more?” By chilling she meant f*****g & she knows why, so I don’t know why she acting dumb.
“One, you couldn’t handle us just “chilling”. Two: you and I both know I got a girl. Stop with the innocent act, Alicia.”
“Okay, so what does you having a girl have to do with our relationship?” she pointed to me then back to her.
“Alicia, we don’t have a relationship and never did. We used to “chill” that’s it. You couldn’t even handle that. So, I deaded that. Now I got a girl that I’m committed too and don’t plan on cheating on. Get some dignity and stop trying so damn hard.”
“What does little miss perfect have on me? Nothing, she doesn’t even have any ass. What the f**k do you see in her anyway?” she yelled
“Green isn’t a good look on you. Ion got to argue with you. Imma just head home to my little miss perfect.”
I left her ass standing there, mouth open and everything. The f**k does she think this is? Why would I f**k with her when I got everything I need with Arianna. With Alicia everything was just physical; no feelings were involved on my side. She was nothing more than a f**k buddy.
Now, with my baby it’s completely different. She makes a nigga feel god on the inside. When I’m around her I be grinning like a mother for no apparent reason. It’s not physical with us at all. Of course, I’m attracted to her fine ass. Yet I have more of an emotional and mental connection with her. Something I never felt with anyone else.
I decided I probably should stop by her dorm to get her some clothes since she doesn’t have any at my crib. Let me call first though since I’m pretty sure some explicit s**t went on last night in that dorm. I don’t want to walk in on nobody’s love fest.
Zaire’s phone ring a couple times, I was just about to hang up when he picked up.
“What? Damn?”
“Nigga, chill? Let me talk to Monica?”
“TF you want early this morning?” He complains more than a 60 year old man.
“Just put Monica on the phone, damn man!” I heard shuffling and more complaining in the background.
“Hello?” Monica said sleepily
“Look, I’m about to come over there. Get Arianna some clothes together.”
“For what?”
I sighed. “Because she doesn’t have any at my place, what you think?”
“Don’t catch no attitude. I’ll still beat ya ass for waiting that damn long to ask out my girl anyway.” She warned.
“Chill, Mon. Just do it already.”
“Fine.”
“Cool, I’ll be up in about 2 minutes.”
“Nigga, damn yo ass gotta give me time.” She hung up.
After I get the clothes form Monica, I head back to the apartment. Before I could even open the door I smelt bacon.
“Dang, bae you got it smelling all good in here?” I say closing the door behind me and tossing her clothes on the couch.
“Well, I ain’t have nothing else to since you left me.” She said as she moved the last piece of bacon from the frying pan.
I looked around the kitchen and I thought I’d died and gone to breakfast heaven. There were pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and some buttermilk biscuits. I think I’m in love.
“Naw, bae you cooked cause I told you so. You know better than to defy my wishes.” I said picking up a piece of bacon from a plate.
“n***o f**k you and ya wishes. And don’t touch no food until after you’ve washed yo grimy hands.” She slapped that bacon out of my hand before I could even bite it.
“Fine, Kimbo Slice.” I walked to the sink and washed my hands.
“Did you really just wash your hands with dish detergent Tristan?” she laughed.
“Yep, it’s still soap.” I dried my hands with some paper towels, the proceeded to stack my plate high with food. I haven’t had a breakfast like this since the last time I went home
“Slow down, the food ain’t going nowhere.”
“Yes, it is, Right in my stomach. If I knew you could throw down like this I would have wifed you that day you spilled my coffee all over you.”
“Don’t put that on me. You practically tackled me with your coffee? Besides without you being clumsy you wouldn’t be eating right now.” She kissed me as she sat down beside me on the other bar stool chair at the front of the counter.
“I guess, you’re right. Your clumsiness helped me find the best thing in my life right now.”
