The silence inside my mind wasn’t something I could explain. It was eerily quiet, and I was completely calm…like a storm brewing in the horizon…
It was like I had taken a backseat inside my own body, and I was no longer in control of my actions. Someone else was driving me instead.
“So this is how it is?” I muttered to myself, bending down to pick up the phone in my hands.
I didn’t feel any kind of emotion anymore. Hurt, betrayal, anger…nothing. I was eerily calm. Even the effect of the drug seemed to have gone for good. As I stood there, my body seemingly immune to the effects of the drugs I had been forced to take, I couldn't summon any emotions at all. It was as if I had detached from my own reality, watching it unfold from a distance.
