Lilac’s P.O.V
We walked towards the car and Beta Luca opened the door for me even though he didn't need to. Every little thing he did for me made me feel even more indebted to his kindness.
"He's in his office?" I asked.
“No, at the house.” Beta Luca sighed as he started the car. “He hasn’t left home yet.”
I nodded simply, strapping in the seat belt even though it was a short drive.
It would’ve been better if it was his office, to be honest. Because that place wasn’t as isolated…as alone…as his house. I was starting to worry about us and closed spaces.
The drive to his house took less than five minutes and once again, the architecture put me in awe. It was a beautiful building that I once admired. Now…I wasn’t even sure what I felt about it, but it was a place I dreaded to enter.
