Lilac’s P.O.V
Without thinking, I placed my hand in his, and then, we were running down the hallway, dodging the corridors which we knew would have a monitor present, or a CCTV camera to keep tract of the surroundings.
It was a miracle that no one saw us, considering the fact that some teachers were fond of patrolling the hallways, looking for students who weren't in class. But we made it out of the back exit with very little effort and then crossed the huge soccer field to the very edge of the compound which marked the beginning of the woods.
The woods were massive, surrounding the school and most of the town from almost all sides and right then, we hardly saw any obstacles in our path. It almost felt like fate!
