I balled my hands into fists by my side, watching the entire scene play out as a vicious growl threatened to rip from my throat.
This wasn’t what I had been expecting when I had come to the spring to clear my head!
I wanted to take a break, to watch over my pack from the hills as the sun set in the horizon and the cool winds of the north brought peace to my soul. But I had just started to take a seat at the edge of the cliff when the sound of water splashing had caught my attention.
Driven by curiosity, I had made my way to the springs, to check what was even going on. But what I had witnessed had made me freeze on the spot, my blood boiling in my veins as anger and resentment took me in a chokehold, refusing to let go.
