As I watched her walk away, I couldn't help but feel something unsettling in the pit of my stomach. I had a feeling that something was definitely wrong with her or perhaps I was the one missing something in this whole scenario?
This wasn't the Serena I knew. Sure enough, the snide comments and hurtful words were there but somehow, it felt very different from the way she behaved earlier. If I didn't know better, I would have said that she appeared…tamer, than before, like my bullies had toned down on their viciousness but I knew that wasn't possible.
