Krimson’s P.O.V
“Somchai is bringing backup,” I informed him, my voice hard. “Stand guard so he can’t run away.”
Luca didn’t say anything, letting me pass him by silently.
“Was it all true?”
I stopped. “What?”
“What you told Elijah just now, about you using Lilac.” Luca clarified. “Was it all true?”
“Where is she?” I asked instead.
‘You don’t need to know! Answer me like a man, Krimson! Without pulling rank like you always do!’ His voice rang loud and clear in my mind, filled with anger.
‘I don’t have to pull rank, Luca. I’m her mate. Tell me where she is.’
Luca stayed quiet for the longest time.
‘Downstairs guest room. Last door to the right.’ Finally, he answered.
I nodded, before leaving him to stand guard as I followed his instructions and headed to exactly where he told me
