Beneath Her Facade

Chapter 6

We were now headed to our various classrooms as the bell rang for the next period. I was still somewhat embarrassed but it also made me satisfied to see June smile brightly again.

We bid our goodbyes once we reached the entrance of her classroom and I headed for mine.

Suddenly i became nervous as I realised I'm probably late for class and it must be full . sh*t.

Okay okay May,you can do this. Just step inside and head straight to your seat. No big deal there.

After a few seconds I mustered up enough courage and entered . The teacher stopped talking and turned towards me. "Pourquoi?!"

oh great monkeys...I forgot we had french but thank goodness it's one of my favourite subjects.

"Uh...why what?" I replied then everyone covered their mouths laughing. "What's funny,I thought as I looked at him confused.

'Oh you should take that back." I heard someone mutter while giggling.

" Parler Français!..What gives you the right to speak any other language apart from French...Es-tu malade?!!"

"I..I'm..uhh..sorry.. Je suis nouveau" I stuttered

" Ahh si...Comment t'appelles-tu?

"May Chelly Jackson"

"Bonne ,Chelly..sit down and be sure to come to class early next time. Also we speak only French in my class...call me Monsieur Garnier" He declared

"Oui Monsieur " I walked towards my seat but then realised it was occupied so I went to the only seat available at the back.

I could feel my seatmate's gaze on me most of the time.

It was only at the end of the lesson did I look to my side but I quickly turned back again and walked out of the class. But immediately I reached the door..I heard someone call my name.

I turned to see the person only to realise it was my seatmate and not only that,He was none other than Tyson Brooke.I raised my brow at him but he just stood up and walked towards me.

"Uh can I ask you a question"

I looked at him confused but then nodded

"Okay so you're May right?"

"yeahh?..."

" Did you attend um..Northstar middle school?"

Huh why does he sound so nervous. I thought populars don't stutter. But wait.... did he say North star? I looked at him shocked for a second but quickly recovered and replied " Yes why"

"Oh okay. I just wanted to ask if you know my brother Taylor since he also attended there so..." He said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly

"Taylor..." I looked at him thinking "Oh..I think I somehow do remember a Taylor.." He smiled widely "...but not exactly" then his face fell.

"Oh ...okay. I guess I'll see you around then "

"Okay bye" I scurried towards the girls' locker room and changed to my P.E attire then headed for the gymnasium.

I kept thinking...I do remember Taylor but his face isn't as clear to me. But how does Tyson know me if he wasn't in my school by then?..hm weird..i thought

As I entered..I searched for April and June then I spotted April..but then she was with Plastina. I frowned at them..Where's June then?..I looked around before i saw her sitting at the corner of the gym talking to a girl.

I sighed in relief when I saw it was Alexa..cause I'm so not ready for anymore introductions .

"Hey Juny ..Hey Alexa"

June glared at me while I just smiled sheepishly

"Oh May!!..glad you're here. So you guys know each other already?" She looked at both June and I .

" Yeah we're sisters so..." I stated

"Woah you guys barely have any similarities..I'd say only your eyes. Are you twins or?"

"Nah actually we're triplets but apparently our third sister decided to follow blonde Barbie over there cause they say she's queen bee sh*t ..." June scrunched her nose in disgust as she looked where April and Tina were.

"Oh that bitchy frog who thinks she's all and that" Alexa laughed " Your sister could've done better than befriending her. I wouldn't want Tina to turn her into a b***h like herself though"

" I know right...oh look they're heading here"

"Alright alright everyone gather around and form a circle" a tall muscular bulky woman walked in as everyone became quiet.

"oh s**t Mrs. Puff is here" Alexa muttered

" what?..for real is that her name" I whispered

" no she's actually Mrs. Paula but we call her Mrs.Puff because of her body structure " she whispered back

"wow okay ..is she a mean one?"

" no no but she can be when she wants to. It's the activities she makes us do that's difficult and tiring..hoh"

"oh come on it can't be that bad" I chuckled silently

"you guys shush your beaks she's looking this way" June pinched our backs while we muttered "ouch" and looked forward.
