Beneath Her Facade

Chapter 3

As we walked side by side down the hallways to the principal's office, many pairs of curious eyes turned to us and some began whispering stuff like;

"Who are those new girls"

"They look like my snack"

"Huh are they sisters or friends..that one at the right really be tall though"

"Ouu *somebody come get them they walking like my pregnant hen?*"(in song form)

I fought the urge to roll my eyes at that.Seriously pregnant hen? Do we look like we're about to lay eggs..tsk.I noticed three guys eyeing my sisters like they were pieces of meat ready to ingested.If only I had enough guts to poke those useless eye balls of theirs...I'm not even sure they noticed me with them and I'm thankful for that. 

We finally reached the door of the principal's office. I nudged April to go in first but she just glared at me, "Why me first? You guys have legs too".

"You're the one doing all the talking so" I shrugged while June just rolled her eyes at us and led the way inside the office.

"You're so annoying..ugh" April mumbled but i just flipped her the bird and followed June inside. A bald man who looked in his early fifties sat behind the desk analysing through some paperwork. When he heard the door shut he looked up and brought his round reading glasses down to take a look at us.

"Yes how may I help you girls" He asked with a stern look

"We're new here so we would like to have our class schedule for the semester "June replied 

"Names?" He raised his eyebrows looking between us.

"June Lily Jackson"

"May Chelly Jackson"

"April Kaylie Jackson"

" Okay so since you three are sisters you would each be having a different schedule meaning you won't be together in every class just a few to help you socialize with your other classmates." He took three sheets of papers from a file while I stood there looking at him dumbfounded .

"But-" I was cut off when he said "No no no ...i don't want to hear any complaints. Socialization is very necessary in this school so I'd advice you to deal with it. And here are each of your timetables" he handed each of us a paper ." It's 7:47am and classes start at 8:00am so hurry to your classes you wouldn't want a detention on your first day now would you? And call me Mr.Heymann ."

"Yes sir " we responded turning around to leave when he interrupted " I said Mr.Heymann"

"Yes Mr.Heymann "

"Alright you may leave now and I hope you enjoy your stay in the school" He dismissed. Pfft enjoy my foot...with that face of yours alone can make a person leave. Maybe that's why your hair also left you...tsk, I scoffed internally rolling my eyes as we left the office and walked to class.

"I wonder if his wife didn't make food for him today ...sheesh..well May I guess you should try to make new friends since we wouldn't be seeing each other everytime" April said while June just looked like she could care less.

"Mmhmmm..so what lesson do you guys have first" I asked looking at both of them. 

"Sh*t I have Chemistry first then Maths next" April grimaced while June just shrugged "well I have Physics first before Maths next too"

"Oh this ain't fair..I have Biology first followed by English. "I whined "I can't be alone in both morning periods ...I hate this"

"We have P.E last period together so it shouldn't be a problem..we've got to get to class before the bell rings" June concluded

"Yeah see you guys at break time..bye" April said as we parted ways to class.

I entered the classroom to see the teacher behind her desk already with two other students doing their own thing. I made my way to the teacher as she looked up and scanned me " Hey never seen your face around...you must be new here,What's your name"

"Yes ma'am ,I'm May Chelly Jackson"

"Okay May so take your seat while we wait for your classmates to come so you can introduce yourself"She pointed to the empty seats and my eyes widened when i realised what she said 

"NO!"I exclaimed ..she looked at me confused "I mean no please introduce for me I don't like being the center of attention."

"Oh and may I ask why?" 

"Yeah I'm just not used to it " I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly 

"Oh okay ..you can have your seat" she smiled warmly and I walked to a seat in the middle column and placed my stuff down to prepare for the lesson. By the time I was done the bell had rang and the class was full.

I wonder how I'm to talk to these people..hm..I looked to my side to see a girl with wavy brown hair jotting down something on her notebook. I thought of speaking to her but refrained and just looked away.
