Tau's POV
We entered the castle and followed the flowers to the dining hall that had been arranged for our wedding feast with a party. I wasn't even hungry for food. I was hungry for Jewel. I wanted her non-stop, all day every day. Making that reality as she was a Queen, and her person was something I knew I could not invade.
"You ready?" I asked her as she looked up at me. Those light brown eyes always called to me. They were a siren's call, that yanked me in like nothing else.
"With you? Always." She kissed my chin as she turned took a deep breath, and settled into her Queen mode. I took a step back, from her I was not the King I would not take over her rule. This was hers, a job she took on. My job was to watch over her and keep her safe. I took that very seriously as she was mine.
