In the quaint town of Forks, Washington, where the perpetually overcast sky casts a somber hue over the landscape, we meet Bella Swan, a 17-year-old girl who has recently relocated from sunny Phoenix, Arizona, to live with her father, Charlie. Bella's parents' divorce prompted her move, and she is adjusting to her new life in Forks with a mix of trepidation and resignation.
