Kyle POV:
It was getting late and the castle was still busy for this upcoming ball. I had ordered these balls to help me find my mate. I am 28 years old and still no mate. Most wolfs find there mate when they turn 18 or at least a year or two later. But for me it has been 10 years without my Luna, my Queen.
"Your highness, It is getting late. If you don't get some sleep you willn't be ready for tomorrow night ball." My Beta John stated.
"Do you think I will find my mate this time?" I asked him.
"There is always a chance. However these packs are weak so I don't think a Queen would be there." John replied.
"You maybe right." I answered him.
I had always pictured my mate as a strong beautiful woman with a large wolf. She willn't be afraid to go up against me and challenge me. A women who could put me in my place when I was wrong. I fighter and a strong warrior with a noble and pure heart. A lot like me. The packs coming to this ball were mostly omegas, weak wolfs who needed protection and couldn't fight.
"I will see you tomorrow." John bowed his head and then left me in my study room.
He was right it was late and I needed some sleep. I close my book and put away the documents then headed toward my room to retire for the night.
_____The Next Day______
Morning came and I was training like normal. Everyone said that I most likely willn't find my mate tonight due to the packs being weak but I am the King and I will honor my word to hold a ball for every pack until I find my mate.
"We can't lose hope she is out there somewhere." I heard my wolf Andrew tell me.
"I know but maybe the moon goddess cursed me to never have a mate." I said back.
"Or maybe she has someone extremely special for us." Andrew pointed out.
"Maybe." Was my only reply.
Training went smoothly and I finished my Kingly duties with enough time to go and get ready to tonight ball. Even though the packs were weak I was still hoping for my mate to be there. It was been 10 years and still no mate. My wolf was hopeful but I was being to lose hope.
I put on my Royal suit. It was Green and line with sliver that sparkles in the light. My shoes where also the sparkly sliver and the cape was a dark green with patterns of leaves on it. The cape connected in the front with a sliver chain.
I looked it the mirror and combed my raven black hair that came down to my shoulders. I had a nice dark tan and my green eyes matched my clothes well. I place my sliver crown with emeralds in it on my head. I was the prefect picture of a king.
It was time for the ball.
