Two months later
As sunlight streamed into the room, Anahi was still asleep.
Dante woke up to find Isabelle sitting on her bed looking sad.
He sighed. He wasn't good at being sentimental, never had the time to develop it.
But he wanted his sister back to normal. As much as he hated to admit it, she was in love with Sebastian.
And he broke her heart.
She'd never have to face him again. He already had a restraining order filed against the boy and his other woman.
All he wanted was to see her smile again.
He walked into the room and placed his hand on Isabelle's shoulder.
"Hey." he whispered.
She turned away and he sighed.
"I know you're hurting Isabelle and because you're hurting I am too. When you needed me to explain things to you, I was never around, I was always out of the country. My first priority should've been towards you, after all you're my sister. I messed up big time and I'm sorry."
She turned around to face him, shaking her head.
"Don't apologize. I was the stubborn one. You guys warned me and I still..."
"Hey don't beat yourself up." said Dante, "We all get cheated every now and then, doesn't mean it's the end of our lives. Can I let you in on a secret?"
She nodded.
"I got cheated too."
Her eyes were wide in shock.
"Who would do such a thing?" she asked, "Sure you're ugly, but you can't be that ugly. Furthermore, tell me her name and I'll-"
He laughed.
"There's the Isabelle I know."
She smiled shyly.
"I guess it's of no use hurting for him when he's not hurting for me."
"Nah. Besides, he's too ugly for you." he said, snapping his fingers and rolling his eyes.
She laughed.
"And she's back."
She pulled him into a hug.
"I really wish you hadn't cut your hair." he whispered.
Just then, he looked up to see Anahi sitting up, smiling at him.
When they pulled away, Anahi pretended to sleep again.
Isabelle smiled and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
As soon as she was gone, Dante walked towards Anahi and scooped her into his arms.
"Mr. Dante!" she yelled, "Put me down!"
"With those acting skills, I should let you work with Cielo."
He walked outside with her in his arms, ignoring the curious look all of the servants sent their way.
"Everyone's staring." she said.
"It's my house." he answered.
"This isn't funny anymore Mr. Dante."
"Come on Anahi, you call everyone else here by their first name. Why do you call me Mr.?"
"I don't like saying your name." she said, hiding her face in his chest.
He chuckled.
"Not yet you don't." he whispered, causing her to blush.
