I don't know how many minutes the sleep took me. My eyelids fluttered, as if caught between the lingering realms of sleep and reality. The soft, diffused light filtering into the room met my half-opened eyes, adjusting them to the gentle brightness. I scratched my eyes as I opened them. I then sat up; I was feeling much better than….I glanced at the wall….than 1 hour 27 minutes ago. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed; hardwood greeted the soles of my feet with a slight jolt, momentarily jarring me further awake. My body swayed unsteadily, like a ship navigating through turbulent waters as I went straight to the chair by the vanity table to sit I gazed at the reflection of myself, did a few sleepy expressions and smiled to lose the remnants of the nap that were hiding in my eyes
