Startled by what I realized I was holding in my hand, I shut the book and dropped it on the table. I stared at it confusedly for a while. I couldn't belive Keisha would actually send this to me even after making it clear to her that I didn't want to get involved in this. What was I supposed to do with the diary? Did she expect me to read it and use it to find Pauline or something? With a frown, I threw the book back in the box where it had been packaged in, also putting in the shreds of sellotape I just cut. With frustration boiling inside me, I stormed out of the house, clutching the box tightly in my hands. As I reached the edge of the street, my emotions surged, and I flung the box with all my might into the nearby bin. It crashed against the sides, sending an echoing thud into the air
